1) Dropped a young Key Forward by the name of Jack Anthony

2) Let him waste away in the VFL side as a defender, that's right, Collingwood's 21 year old 50 goal a year key forward can't even get a gig at FF in the VFL side.

3) Was offered many trades by Fremantle, including numerous with Chris Tarrant and declined.

4) Let this 50 goal a year 22 year old go to Fremantle for free, and at a bad time when Fremantle need a back up forward and will be a flag threat. :thumbsu:

Do you think they let themselves down there?

That was all before he palyed a game on Lake and couldn't get a touch of the ball while his fullback opponent ran riot. Has been mentally scarred ever since and turned into a potatoe. Enjoy your chips with this spud.

and will probably be the only fit player
well until he has another sook and fakes an injury like this season
balla > Betts and Garlett. When they can actually help Carlton lift 8 positions up the ladder they may soon become Elite small forwards in the AFL.

In their prime, I'm sure a 21 year old player that kicked 50 goals would beat a player who had his named change and started again due to embarrassment. (Although it worked):D

No. while they are valid points both Collingwood and Jack Anthony were never going to work out. Anthony just seemed to lack any sort of real physical presence, which is what Collingwood really needed at the time. throughout the season jack realized that the best way for him to get back into the team was to re-invent himself as a defender as Chris Dawes had really nailed down his position at FF. Collingwood tried to get a trade done for Jack during trade week but they just weren't quite offered what the felt was a fair deal. overall i think that with the arrival of Tarrant the writing was on the wall for Anthony and it was clear that he wasn't in our best 22 anymore.

leading goal kicker and a rising star nom
Frodo is a flog

Can only run in straight lines, has the turning circle of a truck and goes to ground if someone breathes on him.
Enjoy your new spud:thumbsu:

well if Eddie Betts had been the leading goal kicker for Freo question would be asked after all he does actually play for Carlton

Struggling to comprehend your terrible english

oh and Betts kicked more and averaged more goals than Frodo

You would hope so seeing as he was their main focal point in attack  whereas we don't have to rely on a 4 foot player to win a game for us, and he only just beat him too, 1.8 compared to 1.7

we had a main focal point? Does Ratts know this?
As for the stats it proves Betts >>>> Frodo

Has Betts ever kicked a crunch time goal in his life? Every Carlton game I see he kicks his 3-4 goals in the 4th quarter when Carlton are already 10 goals up or down.

They virtually had the same stats and he had an injury interrupted second season.
Next year without doubt: Ballantyne >>>>>>>> daylight >>>>>>> Betts

virtually does not cut it
stats say Betts>>>>>Frodo
Betts even got a call up for the Aust team v Ireland

Yeah Balla would have killed it with his moonboot on...

And as for stats he had more kicks, more than double the inside 50s and was a more accurate shot on goal
