All this is very good and well for you kids who are positive and think evrything will be dandy,

how about being a 30y.o. who has seen one premiership.

Its just not good enough, we've got all the great facilities and members and all this cash, but year in year out we just fill in the numbers.

its great that you guys believe and think we can win this years flag, but you are kidding yourselves.

we are on the rise no doubt, but we are collingwood ffs, the biggest team in the land, and what have we got to show for it over the past 50 years?

Stop dwelling on the past and look at the future, FFS. Scott Pendlebury and Dale Thomas are our engine room. Not to mention we have a few talented kids coming through the ranks. In 2010, Alan Didak, Dane Swan and Heath Shaw will be in their prime. We should win a flag sooner rather than later, but not too soon, just be patient for now.

Pie in the sky I’m afraid. Why should we? We haven’t since 1990 and didn’t between 1958 and 1990. We had a shot post 2002 and blew it. Hine is the only real material change from that failure crew and so far he has produced better quality from earlier picks. All credit for taking Thomas and Pendlebury but tempered on the basis he had 2 & 5 to work with. After that he’s been no better than anyone else as far as I can tell.

We have to draft, trade, cull and develop better than we have for a very very long time and then we have to do better at keeping our quality at the club and then after all of that maybe gets a potential premiership list we need some luck.
