Up to now he's been killing it vs players in the tac teams but in school footy instead, given many play both. All it does is dampen expectations of supporters, scouts would still have a rough gauge on his ability and potential.

I've got an issue with this. Collingwood players need to spread their genes wider than they do. Why can't they be like NBA or NFL players and have children all over the place to multiple different women?

Regardless of any perceived hiding of a youngster, the recruiters do know and assess them all.

Nick will no doubt be Collingwood bound and at market price.

Think about it, the Two Brown Boys came at an ok cost nothing extremely expensive, same with Josh Daicos.

Darcy Moore was higher rated and cost a first round sacrifice so to speak.

Will Kelly somewhere in the middle.

Maybe in a couple of seasons we will see the duo of Kelly Moore ruling the back line.

Was walking behind him and his dad on the way to eh ANZAC Day game. Was shocked how tall he is already. If he supposedly still has 3 or 4 years of growing to do, man he could wind up a pretty tall mid/forward.

I'm just worried we'll have lost Josh by then. Would have loved to have had the Daicos brothers playing together.

I think Josh suffered by being in a poor system as a junior, the school he went to didn't even have a proper coach for their Footy team.

From Collingwood's perspective you're probably right.

But it is Nick and his parent's call and from their perspective there are a heap of possible reasons why you may not want him to become too footy focussed too early.

Obviously the club will not be able to hide Nick Daicos if the secret is already out which it must be if they are talking about him on breakfast radio.

We do not want too much pressure of expectation on him but it is obvious that he has some elite level traits already,next decade could be a good time to be a Pies fan and after the 70,s and 80,s we must be due for a good run.
