Yeah, I'm holding out till post-exams to get into it, but from all accounts I've never heard a bad review. It got 9.75 in Game Informer for the love of god.

Plus it has hilarious glitches, this guy will be in my nightmares tonight:

I agree. Funnily enough, I have played through roms of Pokemon Leaf Green as well as Yu-Gi-Oh The Eternal Duelist Soul on my computer. As much as people hang shit on Yugioh, there is a really addicted and strategic card game behind it that is really fun. :thumbsu:


Red Dead Redemption does look great, but unfortunately I sold my 360 so I won't be playing it for a few years until I find it in the bargain bin. :D

If you ever played GTA (and liked it) you gotta get red dead redemption, hell even if u havent played gta u gotta get red dead redemption. (you will have to order on as it is sold out everywhere!)

Its a pretty sick game, made by rockstar games (GTA makers), but its cowboys. You ride around on a horse and random stuff keeps happening until you decide to do a mission, which could be 10 mins to hours after your last. So I cracked and bought the game at work the other day when someone returned it. While it's clearly awesome, there are a few things that annoy me to no end with it.

For one thing, the saving in the game is so messed up, I'm still confused as to where I'm saved to half the time, and how the quick save works? Also, good god it is so frustrating when you accidentally shoot the civilian in a shootout with bandits and end up with a $40+ bounty on your head and lose honour!

I just finished the first New Austin section, Armadillo etc, and I maxed out my honour already. Little bit disappointed because it doesn't seem to do much at all, and I have about $2,000 so I may as well just go on a killing spree for the sake of it. I also have a Pardon Letter so I can just get away scot-free.

Ye i do that aswell when i dont feel like doing a mission, buy a bandanna and you wont loose honor aswell

yeah,pretty much its a combination of the expanded HD, plus also the play TV device

Getting a exturnal HD would be a cheaper option though and it just needs to get put into fat 32 from memory

got me thinking now..cheers:thumbsu:

edit: sorrydo u mean you can just get a hard drive put into the PS3?

yes you can buy an bigger hard drive and install itself in your PS3
 
Anyone watch any of the E3 coverage this weekend? It's always cool watching the professional presentations done by Microsoft, Sony, Nintendo, EA, etc etc.

Big things on the horizon:

  • New 'slim' 360 with inbuilt wi-fi
  • PS3 and 360 to release 'motion gaming' this year
  • Nintendo releasing their 3-D DS - the aptly named 3DS
  • Halo Reach is going to be awesome
  • Gear of War 3 is going to be even better
  • Fable 3 makes me happy in the pants
  • Portal 2 is also going to be brilliant

Bought myself a PS3 with gambling winnings. FIFA World Cup 2010 has had a run. Also have GTA IV, Red Dead Redemption and Call of Duty to play. Had a few gift cards to blow, thought might as well grab a few games.

Never really played consoles much before, they're decent valur to piss away time though. I love being able too create a media server between my laptop and PS3, so I can watch any video file on my laptop on my actual TV.

good stuff. COD still kills it out of all of them, if you play online of course.
get some ea games in ya, ive got madden 08, great graffics, only cost me $20 at JB i want the new one, guess ill just wait for madden 11. :thumbsu:

Just picked up Final Fantasy and NFL Madden '10 for a combined total of $50, pretty happy... Just have to wait til Monday after the final exam.
Does anybody else have either? Interested to hear if many play Madden online.
