I played Madden Online for ages when it came out last year, but have since switched to MLB 10 as my main game. There is an online franchise in the NFL thread here on BF, and most of the guys on it are pretty friendly (although well above my level).

Waiting patiently for GT5 (November) and the new Formula One game (October) to be released, as I love racing games.

sorry to revive an old thread, got a PS3 and willing to have anyone as a friend as most of my mates own other systems

my PSN is: Al_Scorcho_ (yes there is a second underscore)

generally play sports games, but planning to buy up a few more genres once i finish uni in november

I'm a gamer from way back, going right back to the Atari 2600.:D

I've always been more into sports games and racing games then other genres, but I've loved some "chains" over the years, such as Tomb Raider, and Metal Gear Solid.

I played WOW for a few years, but it was such a social game that once my mates started dwindling away, I quit too (plus someone kept hacking my account).

I'm now on the PS3 (PSN username = mattys123:eek::eek:) and I'm currently playing MLB 10 the show, which blows all other baseball games away.

I'm taking the year off from Madden, with the new F1 game arriving in a few weeks (got a copy for 60 bucks) and GT5 finally being released (finallllllyyyyy) I am concentrating on my driving and sports games for a while longer. Thinking of getting a cheap wheel also for the 2 racing games.

i got that ordered in last week.Just cant get the knack of hitting atm.im getting struck out 99% of the time and am lucky to get a single every third at bat at best

For MLB, spend plenty of time at hitting practice, or better still, start a batter as your RTTS player, as his skills increase, so does you feeling for the pitches.

I found hitting impossible to start with, and even now I've only just progressed out of rookie level, but I'm doing great now.

Oh yeah, and my RTTS pitcher is Steele Sidebottom, and he pitched a perfect game last night for the Giants against the Dodgers, I was stoked.

Same. There is an option to turn on some indicator (forgot what it's called) so you know where you're aiming, that helps a little but I still suck.

Remember to use the "Guess pitch" function for each pitch.

I love pitchers who only have one fastball and then all off speed stuff, you just guess FB, and if it doesn't come up pre pitch, you become more patient.

But as I said, batting is so realistic (and hard) that the only real way to get better is to practice.

Cheers guys,am sloooowly improving.Dont think im going to hit a home run for quite a while though.if i do,nudie run might follow:D

I'm off MLB and onto F1 2010 now, which has finally been released.

It's rather intense on line, the first corner is just mayhem as far as getting through goes, but with most online races having only visual damage, it only sets you back a little.

Plus you get to play the Korean track, which the F1 drivers in the real world haven't seen yet.

Great game so far, still getting use to it, need a wheel to make it better.

Picked up Fifa 11 today, haven't fired up the PS3 for a while. Downloading the update now.

Haven't played FIFA for years properly, will have to get used to intricate controls.

Any one starcraft 2ing? I've gone silver and am finding it much more competitive than the bronze level. Good ol bronze, I'll miss you.

Delayed bump, but I'm playing SC2 to death at the moment, and have been really since release. Was originally played in Gold following 4W-1L in placement, but thankfully got dropped to Silver which is probably more my skill level. What race do you generally play?

Also playing Fallout: New Vegas, which is absolutely the same as Fallout 3, just new storyline and factions which is kinda fun. Enjoying it so far, nothing new from Fallout 3, but if you liked F3 you'll love NV. Also just picked up Force Unleashed 2, but I heard it's only like 4 hours long so I'm considering returning it to get Fable 3 which apparently is game of the year for 360 so far!

Playing Terran ATM, they have so many gadgets which make em a lot of fun. Am starting to push for gold now (getting matched against some of em, winning some also) that I have some issues sorted out. My main problem is I don't get enough time to play.

What race you playing? If you're up for a 1v1 or 2v2 let me know.

Recently bought and played through Uncharted 2. Pretty fun, although way too linear to be a masterpiece. Also completed Fallout 3. Pretty good, although I got through the main story in only 22 hours and pretty much need to start again in order to fully experience the game. Also recently picked up Final Fantasy 13 but I'm waiting for my new TV to arrive before I start it. Come on JB Hifi, deliver my TV!

Doing my second play through of New Vegas at the moment. Hardcore mode is good fun and it's much more engaging then FO3, side quests are much better and working on reputations is a better system then they used in FO3 also. (didn't rate 3 really, but played it due to being addicted to the series)

Has anyone here played 'Folklore', heard it was awesome and need a new rpg to play..

Got a PS3 and playing Fallout New Vegas as well as MW2 here and there until Black Ops comes out next week.

If anyone wants to add me on PSN my ID is: divino10

In my nostalgic moments I like to pull out Fallout 2(PC), Final Fantasy 6(SNES) and Final Fantasy 10(PS2).

Yeah Terran are definitely a lot of fun, so much mobility and their barracks units are so awesome too so it makes for a lot of grunt early-game. I play Protoss mostly, with a little Zerg to mix it up. I just love warp-gates, in 2 minutes you can have a 30 odd food army if you know what you're doing!

Would definitely be up for a couple 2s, haven't been playing due to exams, but I'll send you a PM when I'm all good and done :thumbsu:

Hardcore mode is so goddamn hard/fun. Makes the game infinitely more challenging and definitely gives it a more 'realistic' feel to it. Have you experienced any hilarious glitches yet? So many times I'm talking to an NPC and his head will detach from his body, or he'll float through the roof. Makes it worth playing just for that :p

I'm very good at Black Ops while FIFA 11 is my specialty. One of the top players Australia wide the way it sits at the moment. Im on the Xbox360 also.

Anyone use Kinect? I got it as a Christmas present and didnt want a bar of it. Gave Dance Central a crack the other night and im in love. Never realized i had such a smooth moving Poker face dance! haha Kinect = LOVE!
