I for one am enjoying seeing all the huffing and puffing that will inevitably lead to nothing.
I like this thread for a whole host of reasons.
What makes it even more interesting (in my wierd world) is that, while I'd hate it to be true, if it was true, the AFL wouldn't take the flag away. It's almost amusing to contemplate the outrage that the reality would bring.
How could the AFL ever prove a club systematically doped, even if half the individuals in the side tested positive. They've had assistant coaches admit tanking and seen it in games, they have seen at least superficial evidence of drug use on a reasonable "systematic" scale within at least 2 clubs, they have made hollow threats about respect.....
The AFL isn't able to make seriously consequential decisions against a club on suspicion and when it is a group of individials rather than a club action they really have no where to go.
Anyway, reality aside, this is an amusing and enlightening thread. I don't know why people want these type of threads closed.

I've got a pretty good record of not accepting rumour, even actual allegations, regarding any player/s from any side (St Kilda included) as fact just because it's in print whether that be Saintsational, Bigfooty or the Herald Sun.
Pointing out where a rumour first came from seems fair in any case.
If I was to be honest, there is something strange about the fact this topic appears to be a no-go zone on here generally, especially when it relates to another club.
It's hard to find myself agreeing with Collingwood supporters, but I agree this thread is pretty dodgy.
I say this knowing that many of them will be all over the next Saints rumour, but what do you do.

We've all heard rumours about the "other photos and videos" etc. Hey, these rumours are in "the public domain" hey Chief? Let's dust them off then and discuss it in here!
Oh wait...those rumours are different! Of course they are. Why is that exactly?? Is it any less slanderous to be flipping stories of mates (supposedly!) running into a nutcase chick in the street and viewing video of x doing x to x, compared with basically pinning performance enhancing drug use on 5 nameless players who've most likely done nothing wrong?
The reality is that no rumours like this should be being discussed. I advised this to Fred, but he's ignored it.
For mine, no rumour should be discussed here that can potentially damage the reputation of club or player(s) without reasonable grounds. There is none in the supposed "other photos" claims and there is none in this either.
Neither should be discussed, but one is. Poor moderation.

I am not saying this is a bullshit rumour but I think its pretty harsh and unfair to post stuff like this online without it being confirmed. If its true then Id assume nothing will really happen unless they have tested positive three times then they will get named and shamed.

Re: "Hawthorn cheats", the answer to your question is zero cheats. Yes we've had players brawl with ATMs and slide around on the bonnets of parked cars, hey, even get pissed at a bqq. No crime, big deal, not like running shotgun through industrial estates in the wee hours of a weekday morning, or is it?

The fact this hasn't been closed down leads people to conclude it has legitmacy.
I hate Pies as much as the next guy, but I think mods, perhaps with scores to settle, are extremely cynical in their non action

I am on hols from London and are sitting here with two Pies mates both BF users given them the kitchen sink about this. I hate the Pies but the fact that the moderation team have allowed this to stay open wreaks of absolute bias and actually disgusts me that bf which prides its self on rules allows crap like this on.
So why don't you simply view a different thread. Better still log off and go outt for a pint?
It's Collingwood what do you expect with the same old conspiracies every year like rigged draw, favourable umpiring and AFL bending over for eddie. Having enough quiet ones here to worry about going out and by the way I am getting too old for that any way. Actually, I am copping a fair caning off the 2010 Premiers though so leaving may be an option.
