COLLINGWO8D - That ought to do it!

Whats your beef with the Marketing Dept? I dont think theres too many problems there myself. A lack of marketing means the club doesnt make money... No problems there???

Lack off customer service shits me off big time. No excuse for it no matter who you are or who you work for.

Your right there mate. It's weird really beacause in this day in age all clubs are professional businesses yet the membership departments of all clubs are still run like it is non profit organization or something. Essendons is just the same and i have read on may boards about other clubs having problems. I am sure that they must still use volunteers in the membership departments as you always get the same couple of people on the phone when you call.

No idea, i asked the question earlier today, thanks for making a thread for it. I do find it interesting that Collingwood is one of the hardest clubs to find out the membership numbers for. Hopefully we are doing well, should get over 40,000 in 2008, i think anything less is a bit of a letdown.

I'm sure some numbers were mentioned in the HS about a month ago and I think we had about 14,000 at that stage which was higher than at the same stage last year, however, this was less than Essendon who had 16,000 or so.

I stand to be corrected on the above figures as I'm only going on memory.

Someone else said that and that club needs all the members they can get.

I rang the membership dept a couple of weeks ago and had to leave a voicemail. There was never a call back.

Phew! I thought it was just me. Hello Eddie, time to check on your team. Sometimes I think clubs hire on favours rather than skill.

This wiil be my first year becoming a member.

What type should i get? I live in QLD and will be going to the Gabba round 2. I will also be going to the Sydney game and Anzac day.

If i become a member, and want to go to the game and sit with non members can i get extra tickets through my membership or do i have to buy another ticket to sit with them?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The poster Claims they called the club and we currently have double what we had this time last year - 20k Vs 10k - and there was still a fair amount that have not been processed yet.

Claims they were doing more than 1200 memberships per day, just over the phone, not including Internet and mail memberships. At the same stage last year they were doing about 500 per day

We'll get over 40,000 again. Hopefully 50,000!!!

Sounds great, i'll be surprised if we get the 50,000 though, i would be surprised if we got over 45,000 to be honest. We should get around 42-44,000, that would be a good result i would think.
