Gee I don't know, maybe not tie a game with a bottom 4 team only 3 weeks ago?
And you wonder why we're sceptical?
Great win today but still a lot of water to go under the bridge with not the best performance in recent finals series.
Stop dropping games they should win against bottom 8 sides?
The Pies will beat a top side, be the talk of the town (and Harry O'Brien will be interviewed/photographed/launch some thing) and then lose to a bottom team the next week. Same same as always...
As Invig said, we haven't lost to a bottom 8 side this season. Geelong just lost to Adelaide last night, and you're using the Melbourne draw from a few weeks ago? We had a draw, we didn't lose. That should be viewed as a positive that a side is capable of salvaging something when being pressured so intensely.
Opposition supporters like you guys are pathetic, and it is pointless to reply because you aren't content. Your arguments are the same as me saying Geelong are shyte because they lost to Hawthorn in '08 and NM are shyte because they didn't win 7 flags in the '90s. Stupid logic.
Pies are on top of the ladder after Round 16, and not for the first time this season, they've beaten one of their fellow flag competitors, defeated every other top 8 challenger, including the Doggies, twice, and are storming into the finals capable of defeating any side in the AFL, when they're playing at their best. Thus, they're flag favourites with the Cats and St Kilda. Its that simple.
