Maybe Geel do a second picks trade with GWS: 7 (worth points 1644) for 18 and 19 (worth combined 1933) leaving GWS with 3/7/12/15 and Hopper still to trade then re-use 18 to get Henry .......but that has to wait till Bowes is done .....

Then I reckon they get Henry to sign a one year deal with the pies and have another go next year .....I hope thats how it plays out ......Henry will be very good and 12 months can change his mind playing 15 games plus at the MCG there has been plenty of players whop have changed their mind and stayed put (eg Papley)

If we got Geelong's future first it'd give Hiney a nice big lever to pull on draft night with live trading.

We are not trading a future first for Frampton. It'll be a future third, if that.

Why don't we offer Ollie Henry, Jack Madgen, Will Kelly and Caleb Poulter for Pick 7? It seems like a fair exchange.

Henry has been their fourth preference all along.

He’s got to know that Geelong don’t really want him .

It has to be a future first now…. And they can’t trade that as well as a future second.

Why?

I don’t like that a member of their coaching staff is on trade radio speaking for Geelong and attempting to subtly influence trades in their favour.

When someone threw up pick 7 in the Henry deal the other day he instantly replied “well that’s not happening”. It’s not for him as an employee of Geelong to use this platform to speak about potential deals. Conflict of interest.

Plus he’s a moron. Him and Cooney together are a joke.

Pick 16+18 means we can recruit early and not worry too much about late picks.

A first round pick next year in a deeper pool of talent will be better than this year.
