It’s pretty simple, they have given up pick 18 amd there future first round can’t be traded. They want to take 7 to the draft.

They now seem to be trying to farm out some vfl players like ratagalea and parfitt, but not sure that’s going to bring in a top 20 pick to satisfy Collingwood.

I'm not so sure tbh, I think we're more likely to buckle on the Grundy trade than this one. Ollie is uncontacted but he won't risk going to the draft or national draft to get picked up. If he can't be at Collingwood then sure is hell he won't be happy being at North or anywhere else that takes him further away from Geelong and the pies know that.

Why - Its not like his Family is on the other side of the country ....its about 40 mins drive! ......he'll get over it in about a week besides he likely gets more senior game time at the pies than at the cats in 2023 .....if he competes with Rohan - I reckon he only plays when Rohan is injured or rested in 2023....

How do you know we didn’t make Geelong buckle?

Maybe they offered 18 (which will become pick 20 by draft day) for Henry and we said “no, future first or GTFO” (they may finish lower next year and it’s a better draft) so they’ve gone “OK, let’s offer this year’s to GWS” then plan to get that future 1st to us in coming days.

It’s plausible. I think GW is sticking to his guns here.

On the plus side, getting that better pick OR Henry staying has possibly just moved into favoritism.
