After Academy players it would come down…

Can also be packaged up to jump up the order

Or are you gonna be an Adrian Dodoro and demand the world for a 30 year old ?
Hes a 30 year vice captain that’s been poached and offered 3 years whiskey. Syd have set his value higher by poaching and their contract offer. This isn’t us wanting him out

More midfield time and a longer deal key for Tay. Sad, been a absolute warrior for us, but life goes on.

We get a decent pick, bank the cap space and try and pry away a big fish, ideally a key back or forward. Frampton has shown he can chop out either position but I'd prefer him to stay back as its what he is best at.

All l know is with this trade happening, it is well and truly pushed us right in the middle of the trade period, whereas l thought it would be a quiet period for us...
We haven't been boring the last few trade periods, that's for sure. We are exciting on the field and off the field.....

I’m a big believer of serving time first. That rules Mitchell out. Otherwise Mitchell seems right for the job.

Nick hasn’t been there long enough yet and is too young. I agree. In a couple more years though, definitely VC material. I believe he’ll be next captain.

Crisp would be a good one. Been at the club a while. Older.
Would be nice if u kick it to Crisp - imo he’s the most underrated (to everyone other than u guys) player going around atm.
Always seems to do “something” good when u need it & is as reliable as it gets.
Doesn’t get enough credit, something “extra” is well deserved and still falls short of the recognition he deserves.

Crispy is the 4th highest rated finals player of the past 20 years according to Fox last week. We rate him tremendously

Adams has been effective in the pressure forward / inside mid role, yes.

That being said, if we get his ~800k+ off our books and receive pick 23, that has to be a monumental win.

Even if we can't find an equivalent replacement, I'm sure we can use that salary cap and trade capital to improve our team to a greater degree elsewhere.
Can’t see us getting pick 23 and them taking on his full contacted salary.

Adams the person is a hard loss but his position in the team is definitely upgradable. 4th or 5th mid in the rotation, ordinary on the wings and up forward. He was only of serious value when he got his limited chances through the middle. Really hoping we target a small forward or half forward who can rotate with Bobby in the pocket and at half high forward

One of the last blokes I'd expect to want out. If its just longer term security he's after, he's probably right to take the offer on the table. I suspect he feels a bit like he's been overtaken as well (which he has). Plenty considered him the next captain and he probably thought so too. Getting reduced midfield time as well just adding to it.

Having said that he was still bloody important to us in a lot of games this year. I'll miss him as a Collingwood person and wish him well.
