Actually, in his second-ever game vs Adelaide Round 2, 2022 he spent quite a bit of time in the midfield and looked very promising. Finished with 21 touches and 1.2.

Wasn’t his second game and the team looked very different then. Cameron was our sub, for example and Grundy was the number one ruck. Had Tyler Brown, Johnny Noble, Ollie Henry, Kreuger running around that day and Nick very young off HB.

You really don't want Ginni playing at the Pies do you?

Give the kid an opportunity to do the preseason he said he's going to and give him a chance. Many young players have a quiet 2nd season after a big first year.

Yes, I know technically it was his 3rd, but 2022 was his his breakout year.

Fly obviously rates him highly. He's called him one of the best trainers, gave him every opportunity to get back into the side and selected him for the GF.

I don’t mind Ginni playing at the Pies but he’s not the guaranteed starter some think he is. Some on here write off Macrae. I think he’ll have the better career. Just give it time.

Btw annoyed the piss out of me they kept playing it at quarter time at the granny.

Knew it would have psychological impact on Cameron, nek minnit, he comes out and kicks a goal in first 30 seconds of Q2.

We don't have the same 22-23 players available every week for a variety of reasons. So in that sense, no one is a guaranteed starter.

I like Ginni and want him to stay, i love DeGoeys comment the other day "what were you like when you were 21??" Hopefully this preseason he puts his head down and gets to work and sounds like he wants to prove himself and hopefully he proves himself by his actions.

Yeah Eddie had a whinge about this and rightfully so- how can they justify playing a Brisbane hype song at the Grand Final???

I would take that deal in a heartbeat. Schultz is the type of player we need at the moment. A midfielder/forward with a bit of grunt and aggression. Apart from Maynard, there's really nobody else like that At Collingwood.

Mid tier draft picks are pretty much hit or miss anyway. I would rather trade them away to get an established star in their mid twenties.

He played half forward that day, not midfield.

Schulz is essentially taking Adams forward role.

Ginni was already in the side on GF day.

There is a huge difference playing part time mid at VFL level compared to doing it full time at AFL level.

But Adams wasn't paying. So you could argue that Ginni took Adams forward role.
