But for 2 goals a game, very happy to pay that.

It's looking pretty obvious that the AFL forgot to adjust their compensation bands for expected cap inflation. Good year to be losing a free agent.

I liked Adams but his disposal was not that good.
Adams 13 goals this year - Billy 39 and Bobby 33.
I don't seem to rate Adams as high as you (even Beau kicked 17).
I see Adams as replaceable with our current list - Johnson kicked 21 goals.

Adams had loads of assists, score involvements. Schultzy will be an upgrade though.

What is the size of the contract we are offering? Everyone seems to assume that they’d get end of first round compo, but the consensus also seems to be the contract is 4 years @~$600-650k with a trigger for a 5th?
For context, Brisbane received band 3 last year for McStays reported 5 year $650k contract. I’m not sure that the assumption that Schultz would attract end of first round compo is as certain as people think.

I think you can get bet the compo bands go up after this year, so it'd be a pure guess.

It's a tough one for Freo. They lose so many players that they've got to at least appear to make a stand to keep their supporters happy.

That would be a bad trade for us. Ginnivan if he trains hard can be as good as he wants to be; other players like Reid can only be forfty percent as good as that.
