Let's not forget ours was as much a salary dump as it was anything else.
Lol Melbourne were in a worse spot then us.

Let's not forget ours was as much a salary dump as it was anything else.
Carlton did give up pick 17 as well as Fisher for 21 and 25.
Would have been better off just accepting 25 and keeping 17 surely.
GC will be burning 23, 26, 27 and 31, so it won’t actually be pushed back that much.Pick 33 for Adams is ******* disgraceful when you think how far that'll get pushed back.
North wouldn't have done it. Carlton had to sweeten the deal - probably about pick 35 or so in value in the end.
He's 28 and not playing seniors. There's not going to be a trade price. It'll be a matter of St Kilda trying to get as much as possible off the books - which might not be that much.Potentially, but the theory behind that means we'd have to pay more picks-wise.
So Ginnivan rumours return. Watch this space. This trade period is still young.
If Murphy retires, I can't imagine us not finding a spare defender sitting around.
The flipside is 35 and 37 will also be used by GC along with 39, 47 and possibly 52 by the Dogs. Hawthorn are also a watch with 32 with my guess being they shuffle that backwards.goldy will be burning 23, 26, 27 and 31 themselves before adams pick 33. So there’s 4 spots.
Not sure what other picks are getting used on. It’s a high 20’s pick
Age & potential years of high-level service. Why didn't that logic apply to contracted VC Adams then?
DGB perhaps?
GC currently have 4 picks before our pick 33 and 2 more picks before our pick 38. All of them will be used up by 3 players. WB dont have any so Croft may push us back 1 unless they trade into the draft. Hawks have pick 32 just before ours so McCrab shouldnt affect us at all. Gresham may push it back 1. So at most we will have picks 34 and 37 in my opinion. It could be better if GC, WB or Hawks trade into some picks in front of ours.Im not sure. You've got the three gold coast boys, MCcabe and Croft plus who knows what the Gresham compo will be. Before our picks gold coast has four picks and hawthorn have one that could be eaten up so possibly our pick stays the same or gets pushed out one, unless I'm misreading it. Could change from now on though if gold coast get more picks.
McCabe Hawthorn and Graham GCYou have to factor in the +1 for each player taken though.
As an example if club A bids on GC player X at 3, GC matches at 3 and club A's next pick is now 4 pushing back everyone else's selection. Of course player X was never available to us anyway so the pool of available players remains unchanged.
There's likely to be what, at least 4 players (3 Gold Coast, Croft WB) taken prior to pick 33 so that pushes it back to 37.
Gold Goast have 4 selections prior to 33 so that becomes a zero net gain/loss in terms of position.
The Dogs have none between between their current pick 5 and 33.
At this stage I'd say 33 will remain at 33 though that could still change due to multiple factors.
Our current pick 38 could potentially come in two spots however as GC have picks 35 + 37.
The Fremantle pick 45 could come in 3 places due to the Dogs holding 39 presently.
It wouldn't surprise if the deal for Schultz ends up being 19 plus a swap of one of our picks in the 30's for 45.
P.S- Any other F/S or NGA expected to go in the first 2 rounds?
Give it up on Ginni. So Ginnivan rumours return. Watch this space. This trade period is still young.
If Murphy retires, I can't imagine us not finding a spare defender sitting around.
I thought we agreed to just tell Swans' supporters what they wanted to hear until they wandered off again.Umm, so this is awkward. The last full season Grundy played for the Pies, we were 17th in the league for clearances.
Not really. Ginni needs to get into the midfield. Billings would be wing and high HF depth
Oh, come on, Walt!Somebody in the best 2024 team thread was talking about Steven May joining
What"s your best 2K time, TRS?Ginni has about as much chance of getting into the midfield as I do.
The kid is 20. Why would he walk? We’re trying to maximise the premiership window that is currently wide open. Back yourself in to be a two time premiership player. Stop listening to the media’s dribble.
Wonder if he could be re-tooled in that backline distributor role with Daics moving full time into middle? Haven’t seen a huge amount of Billings, but I do know his footskills are pretty revered.Billings will be wing depth for us, Gin is fine
North list management need to be drug tested after that deal.Me too!! It’s true what they were saying on trade radio…. He transformed into Craig Bradley overnight
Freo gets jack shit. Schultz is an UNRESTRICTED FREE AGENT. He walks. They get bananas. He ain’t sticking around at a club that has been shafting him. Best they take our pick 33.If freo refuse a trade. And next season Shultz gets multiple offers, The best they will get will be end of first compo like doedee. Which will get pushed out to low 20’s again as always. All they will do is lose 12months of preparation. It’s in their favour to do the deal now. Pick 18 is the same as the best compo they will Get, except it’s 12months earlier
