I’m just speculating but I’d guess ours at least starts with a 3, but maybe he’s got something on the cards with 5.

At the end of the day I think this one gets done, this is just manager negotiation via the media, I refuse to believe he could be that concerned about a small forward and a key forward taking his spot and call BS on that.

Either way, probably an unpopular opinion around here, if he does wanna go I wouldn’t be going to extreme lengths to try and keep him, this is the future now, we’ll get one going the other way and we’ll all move on.
Exactly. If he wants to leave, the club he's going to can cough up a first rounder or a similarly talented player and off we go. Move on. No point becoming hostile. Henry is not irreplaceable and no bigger than the cause.

If Richmond are looking likely to land Taranto, that would be the most awkward conversation for Kingsley to have if he's to try and ask him his intentions.

Taranto expected to make a decision on his future at the end of this week. Interesting to see which way he goes, but l get a feeling he stays at GWS....

I'm glad you are not in charge of our recruiting dept. Ollie is absolutely high priority. We might get a first-rounder with more commitment but extremely unlikely to get one with that much raw talent.

As for the the report, Bobby Hill keeping Ollie out of the side? Bobby on exposed form would be on the fringe of the VFL side
I'm sure there are first rounders who are as talented as Henry. He's not in the side and from his same draft, there is someone who was Pick 44 and someone who was Pick 13 in the rookie draft that run around and look every part of the side.

In the men's game, the argument is frustrating. Players leave for the money, women or because they have a sook they don't have all their friends they grew up with interstate and no-one cares about them playing in the AFL. There are a handful of legitimate personal reasons (Tim Kelly is a really good example) and I don't necessarily blame Rankine for leaving to take $800,000 but in too many instances, players use the return to Victoria or SA, WA, etc. They're not the only 18 year olds who have to move to advance their career. I guess what I don't like is how a club drafts a player and he leaves not long after he was drafted because he just wants to go home. It screams of over-entitlement a 20 something nobody, sometimes with no real achievement or anything more than 20 AFL games can walk out the door.
I think the entitlement is with us supporters and the sense of ownership we feel over these young men. Rather than comparing them to overseas sportsmen, try comparing them to other professionals. Is the young accountant who moves jobs due to lifestyle and location or money or greater opportunity acting with a sense of entitlement? Or is he just trying to have a good life.

I don't know too many accountants in that position but a lot of AFL players have that luxury.

Bobby Hill has enormous ability. He is another player who can turn a game with 5 damaging touches.

bit ridiculous asking for a lot of money on your first contract
just get yourself into the team as a regular and itll take of itself
short sighted
That's what worries me the most. I think it takes away from his integrity. I hope he stay's for his own sake really, he will be putting a lot of poressure on himself

is there any evidence of this at all?

And he has just sat out of the game for a year. I wish the kid well but I am surprised we would be keen to sign him. If we need an electric small forward, I reckon there are better options.

Yes. My eyes. He has electric pace and can stand on your head. He is just what we need. He has X factor. He has similar weapons to Shai Bolton.
