The point about inside mids is that they get in and under and extract the ball, so they are always under pressure when getting it out.How many inside clearance players have polished disposal? That’s what guys like Pendles and the Daicos boys are for. Let the bulls extract the ball and dish it out to the classy guys.
Unsigned this deep into the season is usually not a good signThey are also getting hopper and Bailey from north. There is nothing connecting them to Ollie.
All we know for sure is that he is in talks for a new deal at the pies. If he didn’t want to be here he would have put talks off, that’s what I’m clinging to

I think Geelong need to remember we dont have Ned Guy anymoreI didn't ask as I was taken aback, don't even want to think about.
Their history after the pre finals bye and our closing power will have them nervous. They wont admit it thoughOh he also told me nothing wrong with Cameron nor Stanley. Never was just Scott playing it safe.
Can't stand the Scott brothers!

I’d be driving a very, very, hard bargainave no idea how they could do the swap. Just what he told me or maybe they have players that aren't getting a game but are good, haven't really looked at their depth or draft picks.
hope you're correctDepends. I remember Moore went unsigned a few years back til October. Some deals just take longer than expected. IF Ollie had put off talks until the end of the season then we should be worried but that hasn’t been the case so I’m expecting it will get done. And the media (cal twomey etc) say the same.

Losing those two and adding mcstay and hill. We trying to go backwards it seemsFriend who is a Geelong supporter rang me today and he does get good mail and has been right more often than not. He said Grundy and Henry are almost done deals to Geelong next year. Asked how they could afford them and he said in Grundy's case may be the sticking point.
He is not a guy who boasts and one of his favourite players from our club are Pendlebury, Elliott (still going on about his mark and kick for goal against Dons) and Maynard.
I hope this time he is wrong as I would hate for either to go there.
hope you're correct
Their 1st isn't good enough for Ollie.First pick for Ollie and SDK for Grundy
For Grundy and Henry, assuming they take 90% of Grundy’s contract (if not all of it) this and next years firsts won’t be enough, Max Holmes anyone?I’d be driving a very, very, hard bargain

Being realistic, those picks would 100% be enough if the two requested to go to Geelong. For Grundy and Henry, assuming they take 90% of Grundy’s contract (if not all of it) this and next years firsts won’t be enough, Max Holmes anyone?
Not so sure about that, we spent pick 17 on Henry, put 2 years into him and we’re to accept around pick 21 after academy picks etc, we’re getting the short straw there, I would want their first and second picks, then they want Grundy as well, sure we won’t want the world for him but he’s worth a future first IMO.Being realistic, those picks would 100% be enough if the two requested to go to Geelong.

No. Bill BrownlessIs your friend named Pinnochi
Is your friend named Pinocchio?
If we get offered a first round pick for Grundy and the option to 700k p/a of his contract I’d take it and run. Wouldn’t think twice. Not so sure about that, we spent pick 17 on Henry, put 2 years into him and we’re to accept around pick 21 after academy picks etc, we’re getting the short straw there, I would want their first and second picks, then they want Grundy as well, sure we won’t want the world for him but he’s worth a future first IMO.
I better leave if for a couple of days, he could talk footy for hours and then my ears hurt.Betta get back on the blower Maggie. We patiently await your report
I’d be pretty ropeable if we accepted a pick likely to be in the early 20’s for a kid we used pick 17 on, who’s regarded as a ‘hit’ in draft terms and has future star written all over him…Being realistic, those picks would 100% be enough if the two requested to go to Geelong.
Is he well connected within the club?I better leave if for a couple of days, he could talk footy for hours and then my ears hurt.
I am serious, he ran through the game with two likely outcomes, them losing and us winning.
He is a nice guy, we have been friends for over 20 years. Not a nasty supporter either just likes his footy.
Anyway, if I hear more, will report back.
