Waste of future trading? From Talking Carlton it was said by one poster:
"Stocker has a poor attitude and had most players off side. Overweight. Voss tried everything but he wouldn't change. Waste of talent."

You can add Steak knives in there for the Beams deal.In regards to the Weideman savagery a few pages back.
I remember:
Some were adamant that Leigh Brown is too slow can't play and had already failed at two clubs.
Some were adamant that Luke Ball was past it, too slow, can't kick over 30m.
Some were adamant that Chris Tarrant wasn't going to get form back, washed etc.
Some were adamant that Darren Jolly wasn't going to be our ruck savior and that we should look at younger options.
Some were adamant that Krakeour was too weak, one trick pony, wouldn't perform under Mick's boundary-line gameplan.
I'm not pointing fingers or insinuating that I know more, just saying I think we're too quick to write off how many factors contribute to players not reaching potential and how a change of environment, coach, playing circle etc. can genuinely be a huge key in unlocking what a lot of players HAVE, but haven't been able to SHOW. Even something as simple as a new coach that WANTS you in that first 22.

100% would throw Stocker a lifeline.
He was incredible as a junior.
Something hasn't clicked at Carlton for him.
Too young to be thrown to the scrap heap.
Give me a spell.
There's obviously something happening with lists and salary cap because money is being found by a lot of clubs. So Tom Browne reckons Richmond are going to try and get BOTH Taranto and Hopper.

We got into this position by recruiting players who would have been laughed off here. AJ, Gini, Noble and Cekkers all rookie picks. Cameron was a nobody, Lipinski wasn't good enough, Murphy was about to be delisted.Yep, the dream is to bring in a youngish A grader when your in our position. Not C graders.....

Mitchell tried to fire sale every senior player last year. Mitchell's elite hands inside is what we need. Selwood, as slow as he was, had time and space in clearances last weekend.I'm not trying to be ridiculous about it but Titch is a lot slower than Sewell ever was and doesn't have the same sideways movement as he once did (following his leg fracture). His (Titch's) kicking is restricted (slow up and unders) and its one of the main reasons he kicks sideways and backwards so much, he HAS to safe kick. He's always had a quicker brain than Sewell and he will attract plenty of ball and use his great hands....but he's not going to get a team moving forward from stoppage quickly anymore (which is the way Sam Mitchell wants his team to play).
He is also limited position wise, he can only be of any benefit as an inside mid (admittedly something we lack) but he'll slow our transition every time he's involved in a chain.
If he was still a "valuable" inside mid...you don't think someone as astute about midfield play as Sam Mitchell would have kept him?
Difference is that the club were actually interested in those players. Is there anything pointing towards us being interested in Weed other that one single unsubstantiated BF rumour? In regards to the Weideman savagery a few pages back.
