Lifestyle.Geelong is the French Riviera of the southern hemisphere.Or at least the players seem to think it is,anyway. How the **** does Geelong get everyone to request them?
AFL seems to have a decent percentage of inbred sheep ****ers. How the **** does Geelong get everyone to request them?

From Cairns. Would take a big change to move away from his family.
So according to Tom Morris, we asked the question but thats as far as its gone. But has been Geelong bound for a long time
Away from his family? You do understand how far Cairns is from the GC right? It’s not just a cruise down the roadFrom Cairns. Would take a big change to move away from his family.
Cross one off
SUN TO STAY
GOLD Coast midfielder Alex Davies has turned his back on interest in Victoria to remain with the Suns.
Collingwood and Geelong had expressed interested in the 22-year-old inside bull, but the Suns' Academy graduate has opted to re-sign with Gold Coast.
Davies has played 32 games for the Queensland club since joining the AFL list at the end of 2020, producing some of his best performances yet in the closing weeks of 2024 under new coach Damien Hardwick.
With Matt Rowell, Noah Anderson and Touk Miller in Gold Coast's engine room, Davies has struggled for regular opportunities at AFL level, but has committed to staying and will finalise a two-year extension in the coming days.
The Magpies are in the market for an inside midfielder to complement Craig McRae's midfield and will now turn their attention elsewhere, with Greater Western Sydney's James Peatling and Essendon's Ben Hobbs two other options they are considering.
Out-of-contract mature-age recruits Lachie Sullivan, Ned Long and Jack Bytel are all waiting to see what unfolds over the coming weeks before final contract decisions are made for 2025.
Would have caused us a little pain in terms of trade capita but I'd have insisted on a F1 or he goes to draftThat’s what we should have done with Henry.
Don't care, Manic. He still would've got to Geelong. No one was going to take a look who made his intentions very well known
lol...corio bay and monacoLifestyle.Geelong is the French Riviera of the southern hemisphere.Or at least the players seem to think it is,anyway.
Have heard he misses every second training session due to the 20 hour each way commute.Away from his family? You do understand how far Cairns is from the GC right? It’s not just a cruise down the road
I actually wanted the same thing but it was fruitlessWould have caused us a little pain in terms of trade capita but I'd have insisted on a F1 or he goes to draft

It's optics and defines our future trading
he hasn't requested Geelong..yetEvery good players seems to go to Geelong
The finals haven’t even finished yet Dave, there’s still a lot more to play out so just chill.Looking like Hobbs might be our only Chance of Brining someone in thru Trade/FA Period
Davis staying a Sun and Peatling staying at GWS or go to Eagles

To be fair 2 first rounders for Treloar at the point at which he came to us was completely reasonable, not overpaying.Hard to be too critical when we were 1 point off a GF in 2022 and won a premiership in 2023.
It would be good to draft an A-grade talent. I think that’s probably also a result of not having many top 10 picks over the years. Part of this has probably been a result of overpaying. 2x 1st round picks for Treloar, 2x 1st round picks for Beams, losing pick 2 for a couple of second round picks and now losing pick 10.
It also seemed in the earlier years, we were a little behind when it came to packaging draft picks to move higher up the draft order. Having said that, what would I know? Maybe we tried it but couldn’t get a deal over the line.
State lines don’t magically increase distance. The difference between him living in Melbourne vs GC is a 2 hour flight vs a 4 hour flight. Either way he’s not even remotely close to his family. But its in the same state lol Unlike moving down to vic.
surely we have to go hard for Houston ..hes a beautyPretty frustrating there's players like Smith and Houston on offer and we're going be standing there with our dicks in our hand.
Hobbs and Stringer haha.
From Melbourne, you can get to a different country in less time than it takes to get to Perth, and about the same time to CairnsBut its in the same state lol Unlike moving down to vic.
