It’s not the trade that would be the sticking point here , it’s the ability to pay his huge wage. Melbourne may not have any other option.

Sounds like he'll likely play out the upcoming season for florida, which will end March-april 2025. So if he doesnt get drafted again -- what are the chances to get drafted in year 3 in college? Imagine the chances lessen.. He'll come home after that.

I mean, I don’t really want him. But what was the struggle? I’m assuming it’s relating to him coming to Victoria? Financially or compensation I’d be surprised if we struggle, he’s a second rounder at best

The club wanted Treloar to go to the Suns at the time to join Kim who had just signed for the Firebirds. They would've coughed up a good pick for him too but he was firm on not going there. Might have ended up with the Suns' pick 5 (they took Elijah Hollands) and not traded our future first on draft night. Oh well.
