Ok good, this draft is obviously rubbish and we really only have one semi respectable pick. Are we only 3 list spots off being full?

Freeman might be a gun Aish will be a nuclear bomb! We upgraded mate lost Freeman got Aish.
Teams especially GWS and the Lions tried to screw us , Hine did very well in a shit situation.
If it wasnt for the acadamy pick Aish would have possibly gone in the PSD.

Even without the injuries I'd probably be a touch more confident about Aish over Freeman.
But it will be many years til we really know who was the better.

Hine always wanted Aish, so that's good enough for me.

Who cares if we paid overs. They were the players we wanted and we went out and got them. Hawthorn and Geelong always get praised for doing that don't they? Often by the very same people complaining now.

Seedsman and Kennedy were going nowhere and Freeman is a risky proposition at best, we said goodbye to 3 players who probably would have just frustrated us, and traded down a bit in this draft and next. Great trade period, our list got a whole lot better in the last two weeks, very happy with how it turned out.

Great post Rohan :thumbsu:

1.50pm: PIES DONE - AISH ON A THREE-YEAR DEALCollingwood recruiter Derek Hine confirms James Aish has signed a three-year contract with the Pies.

The move of the young midfielder - which Hine says was never in doubt despite the drawn-out proceedings with the Brisbane Lions - will likely see Dane Swan spend more time in the forward line next year.

With 10 minutes to go, the Pies have wrapped up their dealings for this year and left the building.
