No you guys had literally no clue, called him steak knives and he did better than any Brisbane player bar Martin and Beams

He wanted to leave regardless, keeping Crisp meant we'd probably lose him in the long run anyway.

Very interesting developments! Will Brisbane follow through with the threat and let Aish walk into the draft for nothing?
If so how can they let a player go for nothing and accept disadvantaging their own clubs development by not getting involved in a trade , they are obviously bluffing:)

The fact that he's announced it tells me discussions between the two clubs have taken place.
He wouldn't announce it if he he didn't think he could get here.

Agree - Pickering won't make that kind of announcement without knowing something.

GWS said same thing about Boyd not going to the Dogs. 24 Hours later the Trade was Done

This needs another run...

(Kudos to BigEvilBastard... :D )

The Brisbane fans are loosing it!!!! Yikes.. It's either to the highest bidder or the psd to Carlton... Wow grow some brain cells and you will be rewarded fairly.

Idiots.

and Look at the Red Cards here. Lot Pies Fans have gone to the Lions Board and Trolled them

...and Swann (another douche):

Midfielder James Aish has informed the Brisbane Lions that he wants to be traded.

Talent Acquisition and Retention Manager Peter Schwab met today with Aish’s manager Liam Pickering, who said the 19-year-old wanted a trade to Collingwood.

Brisbane Lions CEO Greg Swann said the Club remained committed to keeping Aish, and he would not be traded.

“We understand his position but the Club has no intention of trading James,” said Swann. “That’s all we have to say on it right now.”

Midfielder Aish, the No.7 pick from the 2013 NAB AFL National Draft, has played 32 senior games in his first two seasons.

Last week, Brisbane Lions Football Director Leigh Matthews said: “James Aish will either be playing at the Lions or he'll be going into the draft, he won't be traded, that I can guarantee you."

2 talented young mids request a trade to us before the trade period even begins, happy days! :)
Good times.
Looking like:
Treloar and Aish in, with Shaz re-signing;
and:
Freeman, Seeds and perhaps Oxley out.
Obviously, not straight trades, but looks pretty good for improving the 'top 15' in our team for next year.

Highest bidder hahaha. They have lost the plot!

I don't think they understand that he has nominated a club which means it's either Collingwood or to Carlton in the PSD. When they were after Beams they were calling us heartless if we were to force Beams to play out his contract at Collingwood.

The best part about all this was that had the deal been done last year, we would've lost Beams for De Goey (#5) and Aish. At this rate, it's looking like Beams, a second rounder and Oxley for De Goey, Aish, Crisp and Greenwood. We've gotten an entire high level midfield out of it. :D

Of course, Brisbane can refuse to trade and send him through the PSD if they like. But he is not the priority deal that Treloar is, so I don't think we'd mind too much. Best case scenario, we get him for free. :p
