Bloody hell that's a strong team, looks like we might be going to Docklands to see the boys in a GF next Friday night.:thumbsu:

That team would smash the likes of Melbourne and Freo, we should have two teams in the AFL

Yeah, the second team could play out of Victoria Park.:p

But who would you support when both teams play each other.

Kris Pendlebury would be stiff to miss out after being BOG last week :)

Daniel/Rohan Frost was also very good, and it seems he isnt even in the squad, although he did say his "local" team were playing their Grand Final this week.

Of course the 2's would lay down and let the 1's kick some humungous score for percentage purposes, even clap the 1's goals and do the high five bit with the goal kicker.

The 2021 Collingwood v Collingwood Grand Final would be a great affair.:D

Change the selected set-up around a bit - how does this forward line look?

If the Collingwood AFL team loses this week, and the VFL team wins, can we just play our AFL team in the VFL grand final?

No, we can't. There is eligibility criteria that we must follow if our senior team is not playing, and our reserves are. I think it is a 'games played to qualify' sort of thing.

I saw Fraser named in the VFL side, I thought he would have had to play a certain number of games to qualify for finals, or is it just the Grand Final?

As long as the AFL side is still going, we can play whoever we want in the VFL.

But if the AFL side got knocked out this week, and the VFL side made the GF, then the "qualifying criteria" comes into play.

Does anyone know the critera??? For example Medhurst and Fraser who are playing in the VFL this weekend would they be eligible as they played their last game in the VFL?

From Jonesy86 on the VFL board;

Officially (according to VFL record)...

VFL teams with AFL allignments can have a maximum 12 AFL players/AFL rookies and minimum 10 VFL listed players.

Geelong and Collingwood have no restrictions whilst their AFL team is still in the finals. But if the VFL team lasts longer than the AFL team then there is no 12/10 rule but players need to have played 7 VFL games to qualify or have been injured for a significant part of the season.

So it seems if the seniors were to lose this week, the VFL side would be made up of about 12-14 players, with players like Clarke, Cox right on the bubble.

We are paying $4.75 to win the VFL Flag with Sportsbet.

We are every chance to win tomorrow at least after naming such a strong side.

I advise getting on them now while you can because if we make it through to the grand final we would surely start favourites or be at least evens.
