Kane Cornes seems like one of the most sensitive and easily-triggered members of the media. Very little needs to be said and//or done to upset him - the term 'snowflake' comes to mind.

Honestly, there's a part of me that feels sorry for him and whatever issues he has that leads him to constantly find negatives in the most innocent things.

It could be an act and a persona, but if it is, he's become a meme at this point and has lost all credibility.

‘I’ve always reckoned that the term “salty” gets misused around here regularly. To me, Kane’s performance in response to our Sonja is quintessential salty.

Far better having the media saying good things about us, but jeez, the hypocrisy after the last week, listening to them all being so certain Clarko was off to Tullamarine.

Whateley, with his self-important, faux-intelligent, pompous sermons that he is always banging on with, usually retrospectively criticising someone with all the grandeur of an archbishop at a royal wedding, but with about as much substance as an over boiled cabbage.

Someone should turn it back on him;

"Gerard, is your position as highly paid expert on all thing related to sport, particularly AFL, even remotely tenable after the events of the last week? It was actually you that reported on the importance to Clarkson of things like a team-first attitude and of culture and loyalty. How anyone with a modicum of intelligence could then suggest he would end up at Tullamarine after their actions in the last week beggars belief. Yet somehow, despite clearly holding yourself in far higher regard than the average journalist, you allowed yourself be swept up with the mass media hysteria, totally ignore the most logical and obvious outcome and solemnly prophesise about the inevitable arrival of Clarkson at the Hangar, only to prove once and for all, that rather than being some sporting savant, blessing the masses with your pearls of wisdom, you are just a run of the mill hack that would have trouble identifying the part of your body you sit on from the part of your arm that bends."
Magnificent.

Thank you for listening to 3AllWhite & male radio and reporting anything interesting to North supporters. Appreciate your sacrifice on our behalf.

🤣I just listened to GR’s recording in this thread. Me, I’m a RRR guy, if I get to hear radio at all. You’re more than welcome, though. I’m nothing if not here to serve our little community.

If you listen at the end of the 3AW interview, Matthews sounds very genuine in showing his appreciation of how Sonja handled herself. I really think he was impressed.

I worked with the father of one of Corn's teammates circa 2012-ish and remember him saying that he was very much an unpopular person among the playing group. Apparently when they were getting belted every week, he'd be laughing, carrying on and not staying back and hanging around with the other players.

Was thinking about this and found the irony quite funny... considering how much of a sulky prick he is now and how little he wants everyone else to enjoy their footy.

If you haven't already, give the Top Flight Time machine Keane odyssey a listen. Two guys review Roy's autobiography and it's brilliant!

That's fantastic! Kinda like Derek and Clive :) Will give it a go for sure

Wouldnt be surprised if little men with very punchable faces like Kane's read off a script.
You're making a massive assumption there, he can read.

Great to see some of the first year players liking the Carlton miseryposting on instagram, not forgetting the Jack Silvagni incident.
