Oh wow I'm absolutely shocked that Kane Cornes of all people stuck the boot in.

Question, did he do the same to Westcoast who lost, at home, by more, and to a worse team than we lost to?
And who’ve won less games than we have.

He did.

Apparently we’re both ‘compromising the competition’.

He was part of a team who lost to a bunch of Giants teenagers so he’d know.

When you start supporting North during the Carey years, it’s a bit like losing your virginity with the hottest girl/guy you’re ever going to meet.

Two decades on, I’m still getting over it. :tearsofjoy:
It’s a bit like the Red Pill movement.

Once you’ve been with Chad or Tyrone, the nice guy is never going to really get your juices going.

All I get from that is Chad Cornes and Tyrone Vickery. Surely, not…

It's true that the competition is being compromised. It's a very even comp this year except for a couple of teams really struggling, which clearly compromises the competition due to the unequal fixture. Therefore, Kane should be arguing for extensive draft, list size, salary cap, and soft cap relief similar to what Gold Coast received 4 years ago. For the integrity of the competition, of course.

Yep, Korne is ****ing genius. He knows ball. If he's imparting this wisdom, the world needs to listen and the AFL need to act.

Our shitness is unfair to the rest of the comp.

Yep, the competition is massively compromised.

So instead of everybody complaining about it they should be campaigning to fix it.

Fix the fixture
Fix free agency
Fix the academy selections
Fix payments outside of the salary cap
Fix the discounts on FS picks

Until I hear them talk about this I don't really care for the crying over sides at the bottom.

I think its being compromised because the stronger teams in the comp are getting stronger, because the very good players that come out of contract, get their wish and are traded to the stronger clubs.

Players like Lynch Taranto Hopper to Richmond
Bowes and the GWS kid to Geelong
Cameron to Geelong
Luke Jackson to Freo
etc

IF B.McKay leaves, where do you think he will end up? At a rebuilding Hawks, WCE?

Or a team in contention, eg. Carlton or Port ?

Hence, already strong teams get stronger and the weaker teams continue to struggle.

Sure, teams that lose players get a compensation draft pick. And if McKay leaves North, that could be a top 5 pick. Which sounds good. But it is still a highly promising 18 year old, who is going to take at least 2 years to start performing at a level similar to the free agent who left the club.
