I just read the article Kane Cornes wrote in today's age. I know everyone here hates him and I understand why. But this article is a good one, and most of what he says is incontrovertible. Not sure what the point of this comment is. People who provide the club with endless financial and emotional support venting on here when they are disappointed in the team’s performance is nothing like a paid troll giving us a kick whenever he feels like it.

Has he actually put any work into the article (actually analysed our games, how we are trying to play, what can work, what can't, backed it up with data, offered constructive observations etc) or is everything in it 'incontrovertible' because you could find out almost all of what he says from looking at the ladder. If he really went to work he might have looked at last year's ladder too. I notice the headline goes with 'victory lap' and 'witches hats' - I bet he's gone with ' most valuable player since Carey' and 'icebath' as well. Probably gave Clarko a whack too because he didn't make finals in his last few years at Hawthorn. Sonja probably gets a clip somewhere and any mention of recruiting might trawl back as far as Jared Polec.

May as well have wrote previous 2 years wooden spoon team doesn't have a good list! keep the the facts and short and sweet but in typical corn fashion just uses it as another cellar dweller boot laying exercise.

I haven't read the article and don't plan to.
But does he mention we have played 6 games. 4 of those interstate. If it wasn't for some bad luck with LDU, we could have had a 3 wins from 6 games. Sitting at 50%. Going in a 6 games stretch in Melbourne? Where we a likely to blood an additional 2 youngsters- George W and B Drury?
I wouldn't think he would mention that.

must admit i was a bit off put by the defense shenanigans however reading ricks analysis the fumbling and poor execution choices in the midfield are contributing to the damage. appear to be playing a high press but being ripped apart from turnovers.

The issue with Kane writing the article is more the fact he did it just to be a campaigner and to take another dig at North under the guise of actually doing some form of analysis.

There are 3 other clubs lower on the ladder than us, probably a couple more when he was drafting that article, and yet he chose to pick us, the club he's been having a crack at all year.

Then just lazy shit takes like "Best player since carey", "Bunch of witches hats", "Victory lap", Having a go at Sonja etc.
