And yeah, Myki can * right off. But gee governments down there know how to blow tax payers money; 100M a year to maintain Myki, and now 1.7B to replace it!

For context - the new deal is 185 million daily fares. Not saying all PT should be free per se - but that's a lot of money to collect only a proportion of running costs.

Has had more than his share of tragedy as well with his son dying 30 years ago now, from AIDS acquired through a contaminated blood transfusion.
