Do you use "donot" or "havenot"? I ******* hate it when people use "cannot". And while we're on grammar, let's look at punctuation. You need a full stop at the end of your sentence.

You cannot be serious!

I've currently got 35 first nations employees. The vast majority of them are absolutely hopeless out of a workforce of over 300, which has nothing to do with race, but more to do with how they have been trained to enter the workforce, absolutely everything has been spoonfed to them, they have been advanced in every aspect of their training and schooling. Even the job I gave to most of them was unearned over other applications of merit, purely because I needed to meet required race quotas.

I need a mandated workforce % of first nations people for government tender applications.

I have to spend a % of turnover on first nations registered companies, regardless of price. Of which price gouging is absolutely rife.

To become a first nation registered company a first nations director has to own a 51% share of said company.

There's certain high profile first nations ex-athletes and ex-AFL footballers who are currently silent partners in dozens of private companies to enable this registration.

They almost run themselves as a registration ATM at the moment, requesting massive lump sum upfront payments to facilitate it.

This is pre The Voice and is only growing exponentially at the moment.

It's sickening to most of us who already encounter it and have to tow the line because we are trying to keep buisness' afloat and keep employees in work, let alone actually enshrining this inequality in our constitution......
Dude the reason you have a business and a government to sponge public money off is because this is a stolen country.

I would like to sponge me some of that public money!

Sad truth is an lpg car installation rebate about 13 years ago and the electricity compare bonus recently are about the only practical examples i have ever been able to get...

Course correction is unfair. But the system that led to the need for course correction has been unfair for a long long time.

There is a need for action and someone will always be impacted.

I’m not judging anyone. I’m not impacted either way.

I joined a RAP at my company. I wanted to learn a bit about what this is all about. A lot people talking about not wanting this or that to be tonkenistic. But I do wonder if they really just don’t want it to look tokenistic. I love my job. But some of the people I work with make me want to vomit. I wonder if other people say the same thing about me. People are so full of shit. But I bet they probably don’t think they are. Maybe I’m full of shit too. It’s impossible to truly no one’s self….

Hmmm

a little off topic but i wasn’t sure on which thread to post this in.

but does anyone have a link to the video of BT pretending to blow a whistle whilst he was commentating last year. it was during a game he was calling for triple m but i can’t find the video anywhere.

Every country in the world is stolen by that definition.
I think this Lidia Thorpe style rhetoric is the exact reason why some people are apposed to it, because if that’s your genuine belief, where will it end? It’s nothing to do with fair representation imo.

Seems to be all about ancestral land ownership claims to me and some sort of generation compensation paid 10 generations down the line….

Lydia Thorpe doesn't want it either does she?

Look the fact is the Australian Federal government is illegitimate. The facts relied on to enable its establishment were wrong.

Countries can be stolen legitimately - by conquest, if legal requirements are met about that conquest. But that didn't happen here. Anyway this isn't the thread for it so i might give a response in another thread.

I will say that the club has an indigenous player as co captain, a proud history with indigenous people and a coach embroiled in a racism scandal from his time at another club. No way they couldn't come out and say they support this thing now. It would be completely insane whatever they really felt about it. (Tho I'm sure the club is genuine about this.

Work in disability is one way. Altho its not all sponging.

The AFL and also the clubs should stay out of politics. That statement released today is wokism at its best. Whether you are for or against "The Voice" is personal opinion and footy clubs shouldn't be pushing political agendas. I hate when they do this. The AFL leads most when it comes to token wokism

I dont know how a company or any organisation has the right to speak for everyone. Not everyone are ever in 100 per cent agreement so you cant speak for all. For what its worth I'm on the fence with this Voice thing as I see issues on both sides

I think our club toed the line today in writing that they as a board and a club stand for the yes vote, however it was incredibly well written to be open enough that it’s not a forced opinion as a reflection of all of our members

In other words wokism at its finest. Why even bother making a statement. Oh thats right, pressure from the Woke AFL headquarters again

If you have other words, please use them. ”Woke” is meaningless when used like this.

You just sound like an old dumb campaigner who can’t form an argument when you say “woke”

May as well say derp.

There’s intelligence in comprehending the whole argument and that there are multiple opinions
