I can see it now, Jesus will come back and read Ralph’s game predictor article.

His first guess will be that it was written by a 12 year old Port Adelaide supporter who’s mum told him to go to bed but he couldn’t sleep so she said ‘why don’t you write down what you thinks going to happen next year for the mighty Port Power now the footy draw is out’.

Someone will the let Jesus know that the article was actually written by an adult. Not only an adult, but one who is actually considered a senior AFL journalist and is paid to write such articles.

Then he will cancel the rapture and summmon C'thulu.

Ranking the young cores of all 18 AFL clubs in 2024 -

It seems that we only come six. Ranked ahead of us, in order are: Sydney, Gold Coast, Port Adelaide, Freemantle and Collingwood.

Essendon are ranked 13th and Richmond are ranked last.

NORTH MELBOURNE club banner

PLAYERS UNDER 24: Tarryn Thomas (23), Curtis Taylor (23), Bailey Scott (23), Dylan Stephens (22), Bigoa Nyuon (22), Charlie Comben (22), Tom Powell (21), Charlie Lazzaro (21), Will Phillips (21), Eddie Ford (21), Jackson Archer (20), Miller Bergman (20), Paul Curtis (20), Josh Goater (20), Brayden George (19), Robert Hansen (19), George Wardlaw (19), Cooper Harvey (19), Harry Sheezel (19), Blake Drury (19), Riley Hardeman (18), Colby McKercher (18), Taylor Goad (18), Zane Duursma (18), Wil Dawson (17)

TOP 5: Harry Sheezel, Tarryn Thomas, George Wardlaw, Colby McKercher, Zane Duursma.

North Melbourne will be hoping a number of players on this list have breakout seasons. They have spent time and energy developing Will Phillips, Charlie Comben and others for minimal return to date. Can the likes of Charlie Lazzaro, Miller Bergman, Josh Goater and Tom Powell elevate themselves to the next level in 2024?

They filled up at the 2023 National Draft, bringing in five players inside the first 30 picks, including Colby McKercher and Zane Duursma in the top five. How big an impact can they have immediately in 2024? The Roos will be hoping to give their fans something to get excited about.

Tarryn Thomas and Bailey Scott have emerged from the group as established members of their best 22, while Harry Sheezel and George Wardlaw look like future stars. They’ll also hope Dylan Stephens slots straight in after making the move from the Swans.

League ranking: 6th

fair enough - it's not just midfield they're looking at and across the board other sides have better groups than us. where we end up really will be determined by how some of these picks we've had between 10-30 turnout and also how some of the guys who are entering the prime of their careers now go.

reckon if they look at the experienced/old core we'd be pretty much bottom. reckon even west coast have us covered on that end.

It’s less ranking the ‘core’ and more listing every player under 24.

Unlike previous years, the club hasn't put the release of financials on the agenda for the upcoming AGM. Any reason to think it won't come out after the 13th?

I might be missing something, but surely Bailey Scott with two top three finishes in our B&F is more worthy of a spot in our top 5 than two players (highly rated as they are), who are yet to play a game.

If they're picking players with attributes to be future stars of the comp, then fair enough, but as it stands now, regardless of how you rate him, Bailey is in our top 5.

SEN has been dying a slow death for years. It’s horrible broadcasting.

I’m pretty sure if it was to die something else would eventually replace it

Yes my sources have suggested the SEN are concerned with how they're perceived on the air. And are looking to replace the likes of Corn with a more genteel and funny host.

The show I believe will be called ' what else could possibly go Jong'.

North Korea might be the investor that SEN needs to turn things around

The experience that we've lost is mostly Ziebell, Goldstein and Cunnington though. Goldy is the only one who did much for us last year. All the young guys who were the engine of our few wins will keep getting better.
Yes only Goldie played n that last match in Hobart and watching that game live showed an entirely different game plan, structure and endeavour to any othe game of the season, with a solid preseason under their belts I think we will catch a lot of teams off guard including the polka dancers 😉
