Oh dude. Take your winkers off. He has dead set let people ****ing waltz past him with little to no effort. You denying this is making you look silly. It proves he's making more tackles now than he did before the bye.

so you'd except more missed tackles as well?Havent our inside 50s conceded been much higher recently? Would probably explain the discrepancy.
I defended Hall as the only one that gave us run and carry out of the backline. Now we need LMac to do it and everyone is spitting on LMac. The one thing Lmac isn't is a down hill skier. Can you tell me when a player has walked through a tackle, besides the Rankine one, which again took a 1 in 1000 ruck tap to beat him.Mav why do you defend soft downhill skiers? You we’re defending Hall for yonks, you did come to realise after so long that he was done, now when McDonald is doing it, you are defending him? He needs to be dropped.
Happened twice against the cats and not just once against Adelaide. His tackles are broken constantly. Always resulting in goals. His turnovers result in goals against. Against adelaide I would say out of the 100 points conceded on turnovers, he would of contributed 25%.I defended Hall as the only one that gave us run and carry out of the backline. And I hate down hill skiers, it's why I'm so hard on Stephenson. He's the definition of downhill skier.
I remember a run down tackle against the Cats that saved a goal. Do you?Happened twice against the cats and not just once against Adelaide. His tackles are broken constantly. Stephenson isn’t the captain and isn’t 28 years old lifelong bloodline roo.
Would McDonald get games at any other club? Would Stephenson? Think about it.
Absolutely JS would get a game at many clubs. Luke McDonald in current form would not.I remember a run down tackle against the Cats that saved a goal. Do you?
You over exaggerate all the time so I'd say it was more like 2.5%. I went through the Dogs game review to show all the criticism wasn't warranted, suggest you do the same for the Crows game to back up your eye test.
Stephenson wouldn't get a game at any other club. And he'll be lucky to get a game at ours next year. 6 years he's been in the system, played 100 games and he's worse than when he started.
Name one.Absolutely JS would get a game at many clubs. Luke McDonald in current form would not.
Fair call.Potting Lmac for effort is asinine. Skills, speed, smarts sure go hard but the bloke goes when it’s his turn every time. Same can be said for JZ. Whereas I wouldn’t say the same for more talented players like JY, TT, LDU, sleevo, Bmac, CZ. They pick and choose. It’s the main reason we are no good.
EaglesName one.
None, Mcdonald wouldn’t get a game at any.. be lucky to get a game at werribee districtsName one.
POTYThe most measured thing I have ever heard come out of Caro's mouth with regard to North. Everything they said there is fair which is a first. He needs to be leading the footy club, he needs to attract a Stuey Dew or a Choco Williams to the club to give even further support, he needs to reduce his contract to allow for more spending in the footy department, he needs to be at the forefront of the recruiting drive to bring in experienced players, he needs to instill the belief in the players that the attitudinal shift will bring significant and fast-paced improvement. Buckley's points last night were well made, as is Dastardly 's point above. How players are reactionary as a result of where they feel they are at. It's time that the excuses made for the state of the list, the level of talent or development are thrown aside. Stop saying we know where we are at. Stop saying we are on a journey. All that matters is the next training session, the next game and bringing uncompromising intensity to everything that is done around the club. Sadly, I question Clarko's ability to do that. Viney had to be pulled kicking and screaming into the role on a part-time basis. Ratten the same. That speaks volumes to me. We need people 100% invested, 100% of the time to bring standards that are above any other club in the competition to reframe where we are at. the concerns are real for me. Not on the level of talent, but certainly on the standards that are being set by those in charge. I understand the circumstances, but until Clarko comes back as a coach as invested as McCrae, Hinkley, Scott, Lyon, Beveridge etc we are going to struggle to get out of this. There is enough talent at this football club right now to be winning 6-10 games of footy and it isn't happening. I really hope that hunger and fire returns because that's what is required and needs to be replicated with all of his staff, the players and the broader football club.

And, besides it being cherry-picking, it doesn't necessarily mean he isn't also missing more tackles now than before the bye. Do they keep those statistics? It proves he's making more tackles now than he did before the bye.
Correct. He’s the only one defending. More tackles you attempt, the more missed tackles you’ll have. But at least he’s one guy putting pressure on.And, besides it being cherry-picking, it doesn't necessarily mean he isn't also missing more tackles now than before the bye. Do they keep those statistics?

I can't bring myself to dislike LMac.
Yes, he is playing shite.
He got voted in as captain because when the hub was imploding, he worked his ass off to become our best player. Then when our coach had to resign, he was there for the boys. Then when it all went to s**t under Noble, he was there yet again. Turned up time and time again.
Is that reason enough to make someone captain? Probs not. I can see why they voted him in though given the role he has played in trying to help people through the turmoil.
Hope he gets back to his best, but he needs to be better.
I don't mean 'there' as in physically present. I mean as in taking on a leadership role, supporting others, providing counsel, keeping them focused etc.I mean what else was he gonna do? Of course he was there, he was contracted and making hundreds of k per year. So were 40 odd players.
So he showed up to work. It's a bloody low bar.

The standard we walk past is the standard we acceptDoesn't undo the stuff he serves up onfield which actively hurts us. Far outweighs any top bloke stuff offield for mine. Of the 10 seasons he has been here how many of them have been acceptable? 2 at best?
Absolute must that he's dropped as Captain next year. I know we won't delist him so I'm not gonna bother pushing for that but the club is actively trolling the supporters if he continues as skipper.
