Just listened to Eddie's pod this week, he revealed that he chased pagan after the 99 flag to coach Collingwood after Shaw, he declined and hired Mick
I like ed. Giving it a listen now. Not many people do but I rate the bloke, DGAF if he’s said racist shit. And I rate Jimmy Bartel. A genuine ****ing superstar footy brain. Would make a ****ing good coach.

The Shaw coaching last year “playing players to see if they can or they can’t”

Kind of similar to what we are seeing at North right now to be honest. Picked a team and “lets see who can and who cant” give em a month, against the best in the comp, lets see. Similar

We need somebody a bit more like Jesse Hogan or Van Rooyen that crashes packs next to Larkey, that's not really Logan McDonald.
The only one I think we might have slight regret is Cadman but on pure talent Sheez and Wardlaw are better.

I think unless you've got a dominant athletic key position type like the King brothers, JUH or Walter in the 1st round (who we can actually have access to as well) it's very hit and miss taking kp players there.

I'm more frustrated we didn't take any kpp in the 2nd round if the strategy was mids at the early picks.
Anyway, I guess at least we know where the deficieinces are on the list are and know where we're at to an extent.
like a comben style player...

Today I had to listen to afl commentary, next time if it comes to this Il'll mute that and just listen to my know all nephew wank on about social issues instead.

Apparently its taboo to mention the fact that the effectiveness of ones disposal is somehow related to the quality of the options availabke upfield. FFS for some reasons us punters need to be protected from the down the ground angles, ok fair enough we also get told about stackhats and jaywalking, but these paid clowns could at least admit on the 30-40m kicks that when the opposition are infront of our own players its a little hard to caress a soft drop punt onto the chest of a teammate. Our oppo know where we're gonna need to kick it and they get there sooner than us and it makes disposal for pressured defenders ****ing hard. skills are a distant second to that imo

We’ve decided we do need to get back with Kayo for the AFL and AFLW seasons - before we go ahead and pay full price for the first time, does anyone have any suggestions for a discounted subscription (now I can’t get any help from Telstra and other offers seem to be for new subscribers only)? We’ve looked at club digital membership but won’t use the service once footy is over so it doesn’t work out cheaper for us.

Hate the cost but Kayo I could not get to work with any sort of consistency so had to go back to Foxtel

I now have a digital membership with North and Kayo. Costs $250 / year compared with $30 / month. But there are no games attendance attached, which is less of an issue for me as I don't live in Victoria.

Best bet is to find a friend to split the costs as you can do it essentially for 2 devices. I also just make sure I get it for the season and cut it as soon as it’s over to save the monthly costs.

Kochie doing Poorta things.

Koch made clear on ABC TV on Sunday that precedent was more relevant than the Walker comparison.

He said the Power would consider their options to investigate Finlayson’s conduct after the AFL penalty was handed down.

“We will wait for the AFL process to play out before we do anything,” he said.

“We are not ruling it out but if you look at comparisons and benchmarks, a 55-year-old coach, premeditated, target the player, walk up to them. It’s very different to a player in the heat of battle when there was a lot of niggle on the game.

“(There is) absolutely no excuse. (We are) not condoning it, and it should not be part of the game, but if you are going to look at the comparison, that would be the benchmark.”

Asked about the Walker comparison he replied: “I don’t think that’s realistic. The benchmark has already been set with Alastair Clarkson.”

The 55yo coach who's just seen his captain's head knocked out of the stadium.......

The North digital membership lasts a full year and it appears to be the best value option for Kayo (and it counts towards the North Membership Tally even though it has no admission entitlements).

You can activate it at any time and it will last 12 months from that date. Same for the renewal if you choose to do that.

As was mentioned by BDL, it can be used simultaneously on two devices. It's handy for me if I'm at my Mum's place (on a Google TV device) or if I'm out and about (on the phone).

Cricket and some tennis over summer.
