This is my main gripe

We have seen with our own eyes how good we can be in a handful of quarters this year and hell even against out of form pies in the preseason game.

The players defs need to take some responsibility though but this embarrassing state we are currently in goes way deeper than surface level

I disagree - we've been terrible. We have played maybe 2 good quarters across 6 rounds. I find it hard to see it as flashes of brilliance rather than some occasional dumb luck.

We got zero winning culture, no list changes is going to move the needle imo

Intent, effort and attitude is a nonnegotiable and we got none of it. Its only going to get worse from here, especially when players start to leave this soft fluffy club to somewhere where the team takes winning seriously

The list and the fans are so void of confidence and hope, that it requires something drastic to change the path.

I think that's optimistic. It's why I don't jump on the bandwagon abusing players like Lmac or Corr that others like sticking the boot into - personally I'm not convinced most of the few remaining senior players are actually capable of that much more even if they try harder. I think some of them might look a bit better in a good team, but we need them to look competent in an awful team and some of them just don't.

Good summary, its like whack a mole trying to replace the underwhelming on our list when we simply replace them with ccj and stevens types on 4 year deals.

Personally I’m glad there’s not. It’s a no win situation for them. Whatever they say won’t be good enough for some until we see it translate on field which isn’t going to happen overnight.

It’s my real life anniversary - BF didn’t exist then and I don’t think I’d even joined the predecessor North board - so my early time at BF was dominated by the Carey Unpleasantness.

It's my real life 25th anniversary this year too HTH albeit later in the year.

Pretty freaky coincidences that we both joined BF in March 2001 and both married in one of the greatest years of all time 1999!
