It was a tough watch however his highlights at west coast were immense. It reminded me so much of LDU but the main difference being LDU isn’t clinical kicking the goals like Judd did.
I reckon Judd had a yard on LDU too, no one could get near him. But their movements are very similar.

Nah it just fused 2 North motifs together nicely.

The unrequited love for a player who really should be at North Melbourne.

The famous "waving as we past" rush we'll experience flying up the ladder one day.
I'm not fussed on Trainor but Caddy moves and marks like Curnow. Can't kick for shit and I imagine with three years under Bard that won't change (unless he fixes it off his own bat.) As far as waving as we go past *. Well if we don't then ... what the **** are we doing?

We have incredible young talent and a footy department that sounds like it has a clue. If we don't then we've ****ed up even more than we ****ed up in the last three years.

Copium and Hope (hopium?)

There is such a want to believe that we will be good in the future because what we have been (therefore are currently) is basically pus. We all to varying degrees fall into this.

For every argument of us taking steps forward this year, we are on the same wins and worse % than we finished on last year.

I have no doubt on a long enough timeline that things will turn. The alternative is we will cease to be the NMFC.

We are still to have a proper stable pre season. Even last years was interrupted by Tarryn Thomas' crap.

In terms of getting a BFNAAK from another side, folly. Amazed if it happens, amazed at our stupidity to wait for it if it is a recruiting strategy.

Rather than Caddy we would likely be better off trading down 2 into a pick in the top 10 and a pick in the top 20 and taking Armstrong or similar early in the draft this year.

Making the idea of pursuing Caddy moot.

If Armstrong or whoever else we take as a KPF in this year's draft is Curnow/W80-like in their marking then that'll do.

I was surprised when he had Gawn over Xerri after stating last week that X is the All Australian ruckman.

At least he picks proper wingers

This is the type of victim mentality that we need to shake as a club and supporter base, he has given shit to literally every team in the league, who cares? At least when it comes time to praise us he has. He is a shock jockey, get used to it. I really don't mind him and it certainly doesn't hurt to keep him on the straight and narrow, same goes with Jay Clark.

Its fairly obvious what we're doing by extending an olive branch of sorts to them. I like it.
Agree.

Except not about Clark. He’s trash. I group him with McClure.

19 minute mark they played a snippet of clarko from earlier on talking about the west coast head coaching job. seems he’s a little peeved he missed out on the job. if only they sacked simmo a couple years ago, that job could’ve been yours clarko!

that might be the wrong take from what he said was just a little bemused by what he said.

You’re bemused that he responded to “if you were an assistant coach would you apply for the west coast job” with
“If I was an assistant coach I’d be all over it”

I guess it’s not like clarko to talk up other clubs………

Bemusing indeed

They asked why the assistant coaches (Hansen, Graham, Giansiracusa) were pulling out from taking the job.
Clarko was just saying it's an attractive job because they are a big club with great resources.
Fair to say he's probably a bit surprised none of them are keen to throw their hats in the ring.

I think you're misreading things. They were talking in terms of an assistant coach and his response was along the lines that there are only limited head coach opportunities available so they should snap one up if one presented itself regardless of which club it is and what situation they are in.

He also talked a bit about how he chose to come to us as opposed to going to another club like * because he wanted to pay back to the club for the opportunity he was given as a kid. So he chose to come to us.

okay thanks for clearing that up, didn’t listen to the whole interview.

yerh i am, i didn’t get to listen the whole interview. only what was said in that snippet from the youtube video. thank you for providing more context to the whole interview.

can we all ignore my overreaction? lol

I think he had Xerri as his personal choice but he was trying to predict what the selectors would choose.

But then contradicted himself by including other players that he said the AA panel wouldn’t select, to make it more confusing he didn’t have Neale in but there’s no doubt Neale will be in as he’s a live chance for the Brownlow, especially because he wasn’t in the side last year when he won it.

I really like Kingy, but that team was odd.
