Yeah those defect ones are pretty good. Got a 2012 Freo home fore $31 with just a loose white spot on the back of one of the cuffs. Some bargains to be had, especially with the NRL jerseys.

$255 for a 2000 grand final not sure what to call it jumper. Fila must have made these for retails
2000 grand final badge on front & sponsors spot on but no number on back. In 2000 both melbourne & essendon grand final player issues the numbers were sublimed as i have a dees one. So it must have been a retail

A special framed edition jumper was released of Hird following the 2000 GF. The above jumper is just a replica produced for that frame.
May have been the same one on ebay a few months back, seller kind of talked it up as being a spare.
But it is not a PI, fairly certain it came from the framed hird piece released by Essendon. EDIT: Looking through his FB, it is the same one on ebay little while ago. Definetly a replica.

Pretty sure there wern't any Essendon spares made up for the 2000 GF, Fila must have run out of time producing jumpers for both Melbourne and Essendon. If you watch the video you will note that that some Essendon jumpers have the sublimated logo while other have an ironed on logo, with the logo comming off many of the jumpers, James Hird included.

That afl grand final logo is small. I just went & measured the logo on my dees one & a regular afl logo. If the 2000 afl grand final logo was put over the afl normal logo you would see parts of the afl logo in the background. Would love to see more pics of hird on this day. Wonders if it was ever on that jumper to begin with. My dees one is all sublimed

I remeber watching the game and you could see the logos starting to come off. The logo was on a black patch and ironed over the AFL logo.

Going by www.footyjumpers.com, it's 1991. In 1990, they were still wearing the sash; in 1992, they removed the number from the front.

Yep I did a bit of homework using footyjumpers.com, you tube and whatever else I could find just to see if I could pin down the jumper. According to Mero's website WA wore the sash in 1990. But I found a you tube clip with WA v VIC at the WACA listed as 1990 with WA wearing the black swan on the front. I thought it may have been the 1991 game and titled by mistake but then I looked at the 1991 game and Vic where wearing a slightly different logo on jumper in either of these games. Guy McKenna is listed as playing 5 state games. 2 in the black sash, one in the black swan jumper in 1991 versus Vic and 2 later in the 90's in the black jumper with the then WAFL logo on front. However I'm not sure how many state squads he was in and din't actually play the game. So I figured this jumper on ebay was the 1991 version. As mentioned above the 1991 jumper had a Pepsi logo on the right of the jumper above the little front number. The jumper on ebay appeared legit and was assured by seller it was from Guy McKenna. So to cut a long winded answer maybe it could have been a training jumper for the 1991 state side?

Yep could be that as well. In 1991 though I think WA played two games versus SA in June and Vic in July. Wore the same jumper with Pepsi logo.
