They didn't, I meant I went 3 months without it..I have a 2011 mac which is a magnificent machine but because of it's age apple won't touch it. It took me a month to find someone who could get the right graphics card in for it, then they shut over Xmas of course. Due to one thing or another I couldn't have it ready till yesterday and it's amazing, working superbly and upgraded.
Still navigating around the new OS and the new Bigfooty but I'm getting there.

The season was S26.

The Wazzas were coming off an annus horribilis in S25, Finishing 11th and winning just 4 games. Frankston Rover was the skipper, Wooshette was at the peak of her powers, BigJoeD_ was back and Freofalcon was a thing.

The club had recruited 3 bright and shiny new toys in CM9000, TheInjuryFactory, and Bet on Blue. Even RedVest4 was lurking somewhere on the list.

Things were looking up at Coney Island…​

Coney Island Warriors vs Dragons FFC at Van Cortlandt Park

Enthusiasm was high to kick off the season…

So we absolutely reamed the Dragons by 112 points to start off S26 with a bang. Debutant CM9000 was massive on debut with a near best on ground performance (21 touches, 11 tackles, 3 goals), with fellow debutant TheInjuryFactory (27 touches, 7 marks) also impressing. Veteran zackah (25 touches, 9 marks, 3 goals) was the pick of the lot reigning supreme in midfield, BigJoeD_ kicked off his campaign with 6 majors, while ruckman Freofalcon edged his opponent in the ruck (12 hitouts, 20 touches, 1 goal)

Sin City Swamprats vs Coney Island Warriors at Underground Stadium

Big Joey was looking forward to this one, as we headed to Sin City to take on the swampies.

I’ve been looking forward to this - it’s always a pleasure to catch up and spend a week with a group of posters you can have a genuine laugh with, and that you really respect.

Just a shame the Swampies are here too, I suppose

An enjoyable week capped off with another win, as we cruised to a 19 point win to go to 0-2.

Sin City Swamprats 12.12 (84) lost to Coney Island Warriors 16.7 (103)

A dominant midfield effort saw us overpower an evenly matched rats engine room, with DapperJong (28 touches, 4 marks) and rookie sensation CM9000 (28 disposals, 3 tackles) leading the way, while veteran Moo was mammoth in the ruck (14 hitouts, 14 touches) comprehensively beating his Swampies opponent for first use. BigJoeD_ had a day out, bagging 6 majors.

Back home for round 3 and Match of the Round, and BigJoeD_ was keen to share his background in athletics, while candiehappy welcomed the Hawks to VCP.

The 43 point romp over the Hawks saw us jump up to first spot with 3 wins from as many starts.

Freofalcon continued his rich vein of form in the ruck, with rookie duo CM9000 (31 touches, 4 tackles) and TheInjuryFactory (29 touches, 7 marks) dominant in midfield, and BigJoeD_ putting another 4 majors on the board as we cruised to a 32 point win over the Bombers. The win seeing us improve #thestreak to 4 straight wins to start S26.

Another week, another win, as a 5 goal last quarter saw us go on to win by 20 points against the Wonders at VCP. Another best on ground performance from Freofalcon (16 hitouts, 27 touches, 5 tackles and a goal) ably supported by DapperJong (23 touches, 1 goal) and candiehappy (19 disposals, 5 marks). Morganashlee (18 touches) gave us plenty of run from D50, while Woosh held okey to just 2 goals on the day.

1st vs 2nd as we headed to BJO for the match of the round once again, as we took part in ‘punk round’ whatever the actual **** that was!

Still, we made it 6 wins in a row after coming from 39 points down early in the second quarter to record a memorable 48 point win over the reigning premier Roys, romping home in the final quarter with 9 goals to 3 in the last quarter.

Well as Frankie promised, the Royals couldn’t handle it, as the #thestreak extended to 7 weeks on the trot. A 26 point win sealed with a 7 goal to 3 premiership quarter, as we defied the pantskyle curse. pants (20 touches, 8 tackles, 2 goals) was prolific in his first hit out for the club, while vet comewhatmay was best on ground, while rookie TiF (21 touches, 6 marks, 1 goal) and S25 FR medallist candiehappy (22 touches, 4 marks) were influential in midfield, as was the skipper Frankie (21 touches, 5 tackles)

Coney Island Warriors vs Fighting Furies at Outback Arena

Dips 150th

Round 8 saw the Wazzas show get out on the road, as we travelled to Outback Arena to host the resurgent Furies for Heritage round.

The round saw us celebrating Coney Island games record holder and newly crowned life member Smoooothy notch is 150th game.

Ever the gracious host, Woosh addressed understandable concerns over our red hot form…

I don’t know about Sweet F.A policy but the Warriors bush fire plan is crawl into a wombat burrow and bring the beer. You guys will have to make your own plan.

As well as making the catering arrangements clear from the get go.

Coney Island Warriors 14.15 (99) lost to Fighting Furies 18.16 (124)

In our first loss of the season, wingman DapperJong (29 disposals, 10 marks, 1 goal) was immense, fellow wingman TheInjuryFactory (24 touches, 8 marks) was busy, the skipper Frankie (26 touches, 1 goal) was reliable as ever, and makeshift ruckman Reginald Perrin was dominant in the ruck, ragdolling Furies tyro Tigerturbulance. The milestone man Dips had a solid outing (14 touches, 6 marks) but a powerful second half from the Furies spoilt the party.

To the leaderboard at the halfway mark of the home and away season, and Freofalcon was building a handy lead on 18 votes, 3 votes ahead of DapperJong in 2nd, with S25 winner candiehappy in 3rd with 14.​

Every season (lol), we announce the PWND trophy to the player who makes the opposition melt the most and the rest of us laugh our arses off.

The winner of the Season 26 PWND trophy is Wooshette.​

S26 was a great season for many, but one poster stood out from the rest, kicking arse and taking names, cementing herself as one of the Warriors all-time greats. Anyone who takes on Woosh comes off second best, and she was at the peak of her powers in a dominant Season 26.
