When do we have to notify the AFL about when we intend to use the pick??

pretty sure its some date in november..about a week or 2 before the draft.

we should use it this year...all this stuff about weak drafts is bullshit and i think that people jus say that based on the top 15 or so as to whether they are guns already or not.

use it this year on the best available and they will fit nicely into that age bracket who will be in the 22-27 in about 4-5 years time

This years draft is considered stronger than average, so the temptation to use the pick this year is strong. 2011 draft pool is considered weaker than this year, but its also 12 months out from the actual draft and a lot can happen in that time frame.

The 2012 draft pool, first uncompromised draft since 2008 is considered much stronger than this years draft already. Again, there is a long time until the draft of 2012 and many things can happen. However, if the recruiters are convinced the 2012 draft will remain better than this years, there must be a temptation to hold the pick back until then.

It will be a tough call either way with reasons to go either way.

club hasnt decided yet. tho r leaning towards banking it for 2012.

We should bank that pick for 2012 or beyond and use it for either a draft or potential trade

Good work on the tiges and adelaide getting the bling trade done quickly and allowing us to get on with dealing with the more obstinant and pig-headed EFC and CFC

Still have to deal with GWS compo picks then
