Game Day Congratulations to Hawthorn superstar Shaun 'Silk' Burgoyne on his 400th, oh and also apparently there's a football game on today

Congratulations shaun 'The silk' Burgoyne on 400 hawktastic games. What an achievement. So good that he resisted the overtures from Gold Coast 'the suns' to go up there and play out his twilight years with childhood buddy Stewie 'the' Dew - and chose to remain an one club player - because if he was notching up his milestone tonight playing for an Interstate Club no one would give a ****.

Sulk400 doesn’t mind having a dog at Port. Claims he would not have got close to 400 if he remained at the club. Whilst possibly true, is it a necessity to show public disrespect to your former club unless you remain exceptionally bitter about something?

No issue with that, it's just fact. The way he was going mentally and physically combined with the club's position on the field, he probably gets sacked or retires in 2011 (remember Primus tried to sack Kane Cornes who was the same age at this time and Kane was only saved by his contract). I don't see it as disrespectful.

This has the feel of a Platten milestone game in the 90s. Thought we could win but they came out possessed and we never had a hope.

We will need to be prepared for that.
The players will be expecting it, just a matter of how they deal with it.
We'll be able to tell within the first few minutes..

In fairness if the Hawks were a competitive unit over the last couple of years he wouldn't have got close there.

Sadly for many years we can usually tell in the first 5 minutes if we have turned up to play.

If only we had a coach that all the players loved and would run through brick walls for. :(

You guys know we’ve beaten the teams we should have this year and it’s only been against some of the “better” sides we struggled.
