If Warner resigns with Sydney and Allen goes as a free agent. Swalding, Rodriguez and sharp would be excellent additions
I would be equally happy to get Sharp (our 1st pick) cooper duff tytler (Allen compensation) and swaddling (Hawks pick). I thinking cooper duff Tytler would be very handy especially if he grows a few more cm’s. Then we pick up the Warner bros in two years

The likelihood of it happening is 0.1% but I'd love to keep Oscar, get Warner and still get Rodriguez with our first pick in the draft.

That would be a truly transformative off-season. The type that can spring board your club beyond expectations.

Given we have some F/S and NGA bids, I'd bundle Hawks first with all our 2nds and thirds to try and get GCS highest first and then use that as the trade - or some other scenario that allows us to keep this years first.

In 2021 Adelaide told Sydney that their first was not on the table for Dawson. It's an unlikely scenario, but I'd love for us to do the same.
Keep Oscar.
Hawks 1st(14) and WC F1st(6) is the right price for Warner.
Get the best mid with our 1st(3) and if we want another that slips to mid 1st round bundle up all our 2nd and a F2nd to get 1 of GC picks between 8-10 or Sydney finish 8th get their pick 11, add a F3rd if need to.
Be brave an offer our 2027 2nd and 3rd for Ward from Hawks and fill out our midfield.
Sharp/Rodriguez/Greeves, 2 of them Warner and Ward.

Cooper looks very promising but I’m not selecting any rucks with a pick that high unless he has a Nic Nat/ Jackson level break out type year.

Think he is in the running for No1 pick for a reason. He plays like Luke Jackson/Cox. Got 10 handballs receives in one game. Anyway let’s see how the year develops. Prefer we won 10 games this year and Reid. dewar, Hewitt, Hall and Long all emerge. We just need more elite talent. Gotta love Dewars game so far!!

Don’t disagree he’s an awesome prospect but we are in a position where top 3 picks need to be contributing quickly

If we finish in the bottom 4 this year (which i think most of us agree we will) that will be our 4th consecutive year in the bottom 4, just as 2023 was Norths 4th consecutive year in the bottom 4 and that was the year that AFL decided that they warranted a priority pick package. And you could argue that North had more high recent draftees on their list already by 2023 than we have in 2025 and thus we are more in need of a pick package than they were. It will interesting to see if the club asks the question and what the excuse from the AFL is when they say No.
I’d rather us ask for proper draft reform and removing all priority picks and FA compo as our “priority picks”

How much of a target do you think Dan Curtin is for WC at the moment?
They obviously really wanted him in his draft years, and offered Adelaide their future first pick to try and get him, so I can't imagine they have lost interest now, and the rumours are that WC have been keeping in touch with him since he came to Adelaide.

He hasn't signed an extension with the Crows yet, and I would think that they would have been trying to get him to sign on past his initial contract.
Does anyone know if he has a WA girlfriend, or is he single?

Is he a real need position wise for the club? Is there any real talk about him coming home? What are the grapes vines in WA saying about him?

Cheers

Only way I see us going hard at him is if Harley leaves. Would still cost decent assets and still unknown what sort of afl player he would be.

I don’t think any of the top picks have extended yet, so don’t think that’s a worry.

Problem with him is what is his position?

We have serious interest in his younger as he would mean our backline is sorted with Cody Curtain and Jobe Shanahan.
With both being able to play back and forward
Dan is not what WCE need anymore
Means we can trade Oscar Allen for another first rounder as a option

I think he would still fill a need, but not super urgent for us imo.

If we lost Allen to FA and got pick 4(for example), and Warner wasnt interested then perhaps we may inquire about that pick 4 for Curtin + your 1st rounder(if its a top 10 pick) but depends whats in the draft(where Sharp ends up), and what Curtin wants to do

He wasn't happy during last year, but apparently is more settled now from what has been reported.
He is someone I just have a feeling in the back of my mind that he could go.

Maybe he just needed the year to settle, hence why they extended contracts for top 20 picks to 3 years I guess.
Getting regular footy would help too

Depends on if Freo are also interested since he grew up as a Dockers supporter.
Probably not a clear need for us.
Freo just don't have anywhere near the cap capacity as West Coast, and I think by the time this season is over he will be able to command a pretty decent long term contract.

Is there the same hatred between a Freo supporter and a WC supporter as there is between the Crows and Port?
It's pretty hard for a Port supporter to willingly join the Crows.

Yeah, there has been a few instances of a Dockers supporter willingly choosing them over us, like Nathan "I don't like the Eagles" Wilson & Luke Jackson.

Hall is a genuine inside mid yet at this stage is weaker body on body than Hewett or Reid. HTF does bringing him into the side do anything other than destroy his body and confidence.
Reckon he would’ve got a lot of confidence from today. Equal most contested disposals and most clearances for the Eagles.

The slight issue that has been picked up with Cooper is he is "only" 199cm. If he grows another 2-4 cm's, maintains his form and athleticism, than you probably have a number 1 pick.
