This. I'm not religious myself, but there's a clear ugly double standard when it comes to religious vilification.I guess this logic falls down when it's simultaneously socially acceptable to religiously vilify a Christian but socially unacceptable to religiously vilify a Muslim.
Gladys is kidding herself if she thinks 50% is an acceptable target. There are huge outbreaks going on in countries with 50% + vaccination rates right now.Learning to live with it yes, but there is some science attached to it. The Doherty Institute says 80% vaccination is the target while Gladys says 50% is OK. Who do you think is likely to be correct?
Geez NOW they do itNSW tightens COVID-19 lockdown, restricts travel from Greater Sydney
Greater Sydney residents will need a permit to leave the region, under a swathe of new rules to tighten the state's lockdown laws.www.abc.net.au
Agreed religion should not be part of a governments decision making process ever. But that comment of yours about flying spaghetti monster is not on. Just like taylor walker comment I put it in the same basket
So Scott Morrison says that businesses that don’t mandate vaccinations for their staff will have legal protections.
I personally will frequent and support businesses with a vaccine mandate.
That is why they need legal protection which the government likely won’t give. And the businesses that do mandate vaccinations will be liable for any possible injury, loss or damage suffered by a worker as a result of taking the vaccine. The cost of such compensation I suspect would be enough to put many mum and dad small businesses to go under.
Doubt these types of businesses would consider such a risk - regardless of how minimal it might be.
Gladys reacts only to the risk of losing votes. It would seem that so far she's holding on to them.Gladys is (slowly) reactive and not proactive.
Are you sure about what you’ve written? Businesses are already mandating vaccinations in the US.And the businesses that do mandate vaccinations will be liable for any possible injury, loss or damage suffered by a worker as a result of taking the vaccine. As I said, I will not give my business to places that I am aware have unvaccinated staff once we open up.
I am hopeful businesses will advertise. They might not, I realise. How will you know who is vaccinated?

I’d say if there’s any opportunity for litigation it’s going to happen in the US.Law here is very different to the States regarding workplace relations.
A Scandinavian country, might be Norway, has just over 70% vax rates and still massive COVID cases, so even 25% to 30% of a countries population unvaxed can amount to many millions susceptible.Gladys is kidding herself if she thinks 50% is an acceptable target. It seriously looks like the entire country will be closed off to NSW for the next 6 months at least.
The vaccine isn't going to help as much as people want it to.
Say you're ok with hospitalisation, and death, or prolonged strict border closure.

I'm no expert by a long shot, but you would envisage that 90% rates would be the target of Govt.
One news joint said he attended one venue ; as if it wasn’t the HorseSo from 8pm to 6am. Presumably wondering through the Botanical gardens.
