I look up Worldometer each morning. https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/
They clock up on average lately 20k new cases a day and around 2k deaths....
It's like an experiment we are about to watch when they open it all up 'just because Trumps had enough' and has an election to win....
I'm sure he's going for the 'Wuhan Lab' virus leak approach so he can rally the troops... (Republican voters down South....).

Yep, as I posted above fox news are already pushing hard on the numbers angle (they would have died anyway, it's pneumonia, etc). More and more research is showing that the death tolls are actually an underestimate but no... Orange man will push the lie

1 new case = 439 cases
Male in 70's diagnosed as come from O'S. 20th March landed in Adelaide but not infectious. Self quarantined and on 24th May lost sense of smell and taste. Didn't message public to get tested if had these symptoms so he didn't. But in 2 week blitz there was messaging about it, so he went and got tested on the 5th May.
Immigrated to Oz to be with family, doesn't know many people, only has 5 close contacts and all gone into quarantine and none positive.
Sprurrier asks Why did he test positive 6 weeks later? For some reason covid can be active for long time. China study shows day 8 they still grew and cultured the virus. Can't do that in SA.
Treating him like infectious to quarantine people around him but believe risk is very low.
Gentleman has come from UK and pretty sure that's where he contracted the disease.

Quarantining people without requiring that they be tested is pointless. If you're being forced into quarantine, you should be forced to be tested before you can leave, symptoms or no symptoms.

From my reading he had immigrated to Australia therefore he was an Australian resident and not a visitor. The article below reads he was returning to Australia.

It is disappointing that we chalked up a positive after two weeks of clean sheets. At least it is not a community based infection and appears to have been contracted overseas. When I first heard I thought we may have had a Mary Mallon (aka Typhoid Mary) in our midst.
