I'm arguing it's not a reliable treatment methodology for people that are already quite sick, yes. And it's also not a viable option for widespread rollout in lieu of a vaccine.

It's not like administering some antibiotics.

Im opposed to it because I believe people are capable of being personally responsiible? Like if you are sick, stay home and dont go BBQ shopping? If you go BBQ shopping while being sick, then punish that person? Maybe dont punish the guy in Albury who wants to visit his family?

Id only be going minor staged lockdown if we got to India levels and even then Id make it more penetrated on the vulnerable as opposed to a free for all based on absolustely nothing.

It may have shortcoming but it’s the best we’ve got. Culturing live virus is to expensive and time consuming because it’s is not automated.

There is not such thing as a 100% accurate Lab test - that’s why the term False positive was invented.

Deaths were ridiculous. Worst in the world actually in terms of per million and what not. Essentially people starved and also got the virus anyway.

A mate here had a runny nose (it was like 6 degrees this morning, how many people get runny noses in winter ffs) when he rocked up to work and his boss wouldn't let him in. Has to go get tested to come back to work. Mental illness. No other way to describe it

I know quite a few people that 'failed' the temperature test. One was a worker on a building site, was not allowed back there until he's had a negative test. He wasn't sick at all. The other was a kid who'd waited months for an appointment with a specialist. Turned away because of a dodgy reading on a thermometer, had to have a test and re-book for another time. He wasn't sick either. This whole thing is an absolute joke. Wake up sheep before you drag us all down!
