Cotchin & Martin v Murphy & Gibbs

Hard to comparison, easy to stand out in a terrible team like Richmond, hard to stand out in a side like Carlton who is climbing the ladder.

Murphy alone is higher than both Martin and Cotchin right now.

very happy to keep our boys and it seems like most carlton fans are happy to keep Murphy at least so lets see what happens in the next 5 years shall we?

I'm happy with ours and I expect Carlton are with theirs as would be the case if it were reversed.
One thing I would add though is that i think Gibbs is unfairly treated due to not always playing in the middle much like Deledio.Both those boys set play up beautifully with some of the best vision and skills you could ever hope to see.
To be fair i think you have to look at it Cotchin/Martin/Deledio v Judd/Murphy/Gibbs if Gibbs is included.

Of course you wouldn't just as we wouldn't swap for your two.
Doesn't mean much really, as both the pairings should service our respective midfields for years to come.

Gibbs cops it unfairly around here for an isolated incident as a 17 year old. By no means is he ferocious in his attack on the ball, but he isn't soft. I can remember an isolated incident of Pendlebury shirking a contest, doesn't make him a soft player.
