Could Buddy spoil the party for Collingwood?

The key to this game is other players stepping up as Buddy will have 2 and sometimes 3 guys working on him much like they did earlier this season with Tarrant, Reid and Harry. It won't be Buddy that wins this game for them, it'll need to be a team effort much like it was for Collingwood when they tore the Hawks a new one back in round 15 or whichever round it was.

Why bother posting a reply when obviously you have nothing to defend the topic with??

Dane Swan is one of the worst kicks in the competition, mongrel punts his way to 40 possies every game.

On top of soft Buckley-esque receives from standing around packs while real midfielders like Pendulbury are digging the ball out to dish to him.
You only have to look at the SC scores for the season between Swan and Pendlebury and see who gets the hard ball - Swan often had more possies but Pendles had the higher scores.

Anyway, on topic - perhaps buddy will have a Michael Jordan like "flu game" - he is that sort of freakish player after all(youtube it if you dont know what I am talking about)!!

Mooney doesn't count. When you are only averaging 1.3 goals per game and are playing in one of the best teams of all-time, it shouldn't be that hard to do a bit more when you are number 1 target. He was a spud.

Shame he didn't play his entire career as a forward then. Facts are fun.

1. Mooney is the only player I've even bothered to look up and he's already put a hole in your contention.

2. In Geelong's 2007-2009 grand final years, he averaged 55 goals a season.

3. Shouldn't he also be able to 'do a bit more' as the #1 target during the home and away season?

What makes you think he's going to be left 1 on 1?

That's the point, he won't. So Tarrant doesn't "own" Buddy as so many Collingwood people are spruiking. The two times Tarrant has played on Buddy, he has had a lot of help from other defenders. It will be that way again on Friday night I would assume.

Tarrant said himself this week, it will be a team defence on Buddy. Tarrant would get monstered by Franklin if left one on one.

Richards got monstered by him this week and not because Buddy was outrunning him...
Franklin just out bodied bitch-arms magee Richards and threw him around like a rag doll.
Don't expect him to treat Tarrant like this.

HAWTHORN star Lance Franklin missed training today but teammate Jordan Lewis has no doubt he will play against Collingwood.
The official club line is that Franklin has been suffering a bout of gastro since the weekend and there is no doubt about him being fit for Friday night's preliminary final

His knee is still giving him issues.

Chris Tarrant says 'nah'

What happens next?

1. Franklin bodies Tarrant under the ball, takes possession, shimeys past O-Brian, runs at anngle towards the boundary line and slots it across his body straight through the sticks from 50m out. Tarrants face winces.
2. Tarrant takes possession. Franklin grabs his guernsey and slings him to the turf causing the ball to bob up into the air. Tarrants face compresses into the turf as Franklin chips to Osbourne who is alone in the square. Osbourne casually turns to goal and kicks it into the top row of the Southern Stand. Tarrant removes soil from nostrils and gets dragged.
3. Lewis comes through and lays a full body hip and shoulder on Tarrant rupturing both his lungs leaving him unresponsive on the floor, Breust mops up, bounces once, straightens up and splits the middle from 25. Tarrant taken to Epworth.

Yeah, buddy didn't rock up to the AA awards coz he has a sore knee:thumbsu: get real, he'll be fine for friday and raring to go.

wishful thinking is getting the best of you.

I don't really care either way. He'll play no doubt but you would be pretty naive to believe he has gastro.

Buddy looked very proppy last Friday night & bone bruising doesn't magically disapear.

we finally get to take on Collingwood with a side that doesn't resemble Box Hill.

they're in for a rude shock. can't see us losing this one. process/structures can only patch up lack of quality for so long.

Geelong are a much better side. they're our biggest hurdle.

Ask any hawk supporter and they will tell you the same. And yes he looked extremely Proppy just a lazy 4.3:eek:
