Could the pies beat the cats next week?

Any chance of neutral fans getting a ticket to the Geelong Vs Collingwood game???

Good luck with that. But, please, if manage to get a ticket PLEASE show some respect to both sides and their supporters and NOT wear your eagles threads. In 2007, I wanted to strange the several thousand eagles-clad morons thronging Melbourne streets. This time, no holding back!

Thoughts? Gee they look good, its either that or adelaide look genuinely bad. I might even eat my own words if the crows come back to clinch it but i doubt it So next week when geelong plays collingwood at the G, what will the cats need to do to win it? Should they be worried facing a team with nothing to lose and burning on adrenalin? Thoughts???????

They can beat Geelong.

Much like the Swans scraping home against Geelong in 05 and going on to smash the Saints, they now feel they have nothing to lose and will play good fotball.

Worry about the Dogs embarrassing you and continuing 112 years of misery, spoons and more losses than any other club

How rude.
Grow up.

In the 19 years that the AFL has been in action the saints have done exceptionally well. And well enough to hold their heads high.

What a pity the AFL recognises this league as existing for 112 years then

Of course it does. They haven't the guts to recognise anything else.
But you and I both know old history is old history, and the comp restarted not that long ago.

Gee you should be happy. The cats have taken the colliwobbles off you with 4 GF losses in that time.

Geelong had the weeks break before prelims in '07 and '08 and I think it really hurt them, they lost momentum and struggled.
Maybe the week's break may hurt them this time for a different reason though because their current form has been patchy, and they need more hard games. A number of their players have not played a lot of footy recently, so time will tell.
This year I think it's just what they needed.
They weren't impressive earlier this season against Fremantle following their last bye.
Geelong in a canter.
They deserve to be favourites, but there is no guarantee that the week off will either help or harm them. Maybe it will help them if they're fresh with their mind on the job. Maybe it won't help them if they're flat against a more hardened opponent.

you'd hope not. it'd ruin a potentially epic grand final, especially from a neutral point of view. A st kilda v collingwood GF would be 2007 all over again.

...although i guess seeing collingwood get belted by 80+ points would be somewhat enjoyable ;)
Conceding already?

if we're at our best we win.. simple as that.
If Collingwood plays to their best, then that means that Geelong has not played to their best, so we win too...simple as that. It would would mean that a number of Geelong midfielders have been contained, and they have not kicked enough goals.

Please don't spend all week pontificating about the game. Let's just say the better team will win on the day?
