The shyte Cth advice on AZ has been partly driven by the Trade Deal negns with England. The Americans - even under Trump - sniffed at AZ and said it was off.

I provide (poorly) care for a dementing 95yo. I have not been able to put her in respite because the Feds have been indifferent to Aged Care.

Unc, I have absolutely no doubt that your "poor" care is many times superior to that available in the aged care service.

Just her ability to see your (presumably) ugly mug on a daily basis would be of enormous value.

As I understand it the AZ vaccine cost is a few dollars whereas the other vaccines are quite expensive. Cost is driving a lot of the politics behind it. The government would like us to take AZ because it saves massive amounts of $s despite the clotting and poorer effectiveness. I'd happily pay the cost for a dose of P or M vaccine. Scomo had the P vaccine as did Palecek. Pathetic really. in Paleceks case she said it was because she was going to Tokyo Olympics and took what the athletes took.

Apparently, the AZ is nearing its expirary date so thats why they are allowing under 60s to get it

Also read somewhere a health body disagrees with the call to let that happen too

It’s not a pathetic attitude at all. I’ve been fine. Stayed employed. Wife stayed employed. Even escaped Melbourne last Winter.

But from Sutton to Fauci it’s been lie after bloody lie. And these overpaid pricks have been deciding when and where to lock people down, stop junior sport, stop socialisation, stifle education.

I wear my mask when I have to. I got my AZ jab. But I tell you what the only thing stopping me marching is I’m a coward with kids to support.

Totally understand that, and I wouldn't force anyone to get the vaccine, people have to make their own decisions. If people have doubts they should talk to their GP about it. I had a similar conversation with a mate on FB and he described the vaccines as a necessary evil. Along with permanent quarantine facilities, they may be the only way we can get out of this.
