They use data from the imperal college of London who have been wrong through this whole pandemic .
What makes you think they are right this time ?
Doesn't take away from the fact they have been horribly wrong in their modelling and governments around the world took their horribly wrong modelling and made policy on it .Love me a good right wing economic think tank guiding my opinions on a global pandemic.

Also shows they just guessed with their predictions and didn't use much scientific data
It does, because the modelling was accurate with what data they had, and no amount of partisan hacks or conservative think tanks can change that. Governments made policy on the run based on what was known at the time for a pandemic of a novel virus, I don't fault them for chopping and changing when new data comes to light. It's extremely easy to take potshots as hindsight heroes. What about Trump's administration who dismissed COVID as being gone by Easter 2020?
I hope you're not part of the 'don't trust the experts, do your own research' crew.
the Ferguson team’s models dramatically overstated the death toll of the disease, posting the worst performance record of any major epidemiology model.Unfortunately governments backed the wrong horse .
Why would we take more advice from them again.
Fool me once shame on you fool me twice ?
Yeah and the gulags were pretty bad too.The mere comparison shows the pettiness and moral fragility of a large cohort of our society, where people equivocate temporary personal inconvenience with substantive human rights abuses.

No the modelling was inaccurate.the modelling was accurate with what data they had, and no amount of partisan hacks or conservative think tanks can change that.
The article makes a perfectly valid point about the failure of predictive models in guiding COVID policy response.Love me a good right wing economic think tank guiding my opinions on a global pandemic.
What do you think is going to happen when we open up in a month ?Scummo’s press conference has again shown that he certainly doesn’t intend to hold the hose when it comes to a national response to testing strategies. Lectures on Federal responsibilities don’t help.
And in WA:
McGowan says there are 704 new close contacts in the state.
“50are still to be tested. Of these, 44were at the mess hall event. The number has increased as a result o fa reconciliation of the data available. WA Police advised that of the 44 contacts from the mess hall, 16 people are unlikely to be contacted due to false or misleading information they provided through the contact register or ticket sales.
“WA Police and WA health continued to do everything possible to track the remaining people down.
I wonder if some of the people on this site are pleased with the actions of the 16 arse holes? It must be great supporting those who have zero concerns about potentially infecting others.
No the modelling was inaccurate.

I'll give you a tip - people will get infected .
But the facts are facts no matter who presents them.No it doesn’t
That organisation is nothing other than a propaganda organisation. For example,
A Right-Wing Think Tank Is Behind the Controversial Great Barrington Declaration Calling for COVID-19 Herd Immunity
An open letter that emerged earlier this month opposing COVID-19 shutdowns and calling for a “herd immunity” approach to addressing the coronavirus — which already has claimed over 220,000 American lives — is one of the latest examples of how right-wing ideology and think tanks that have long...www.desmog.com

I have a sudden urge to buy toilet paper
It wouldn't surprise me. I would've thought people should get a rapid antigen test first, then the PCR to confirm a positive result. So no idea how true,
But apparently Corona is spreading hard over East from the testing lines, especially amongst the vulnerable.
That doesn't seem like many tests. What was our daily average during the last lockdown?
Most of the testing lines are people sitting in their own cars aren't they?So no idea how true,
But apparently Corona is spreading hard over East from the testing lines, especially amongst the vulnerable.
Yeah that really surprises me. Would have expected 40K a day? That doesn't seem like many tests. What was our daily average during the last lockdown?
