I reckon it'll actually be early March....surely?
Booster rate going up about 1% each day so that'd be around when the rate would be hitting 70-80%, and by then the Omicron peak over east would have well and truly passed. No more new variants before then and I reckon Mark would give the green light.

Selfishley i hope its mid-end march.

8year wedding anniversary coming up early march. My inlaws thankfully, are looking after our 2 kids who are under 5 so we can spend a couple of nights in crown towers.

My wife will be 20wks pregnant by then, so this will be our last weekend alone for a fair few years.

Congrats mate, hope it all goes well

WA government bringing in a $320 isolation payment (retroactively from the backpacker outbreak onwards) for those who lost income from having to isolate waiting for a test

The omicron booster and the under 5 vaccine will be close to available by late March to April, the temptation to wait until toddlers and oldies are suitably vaccinated will be too strong, the premier has erred on the side of caution in almost every possible situation. Legit reckon we wont be truly open (quarantine-free travel into the state) until sometime after winter, with quarantine rules to be more and more relaxed over the coming months.

Barber told me this morning that you have to wear a proper mask at the airport, cloth masks etc. won't cut it. I don't want to doubt his intel but can anyone verify this?
Complete crap. I've flown three times in the last 12 months and I wear a very thin cotton one (it was advertised as "breathable")

The rule, or the rumour? Because I have had no problems with my cotton mask and I flew only a few months ago. I haven't heard anything about particular masks being banned at the airport.

It's just changed at the hospitals. But they are handing them out.

I recently invested in some P2 masks because I feel like pretty soon I'll probably want to actually protect myself rather than just doing the minimum to abide by the rules.
(Still wearing ol' faithful clothy for now though)

M95's are becoming more and more required at high risk sites.

Hospitals and airports are part of that.

Cloth ones won't be accepted.

Has anyone been following the Canberra convoy protests? Some sovereign citizen minded people protesting the mandates.

One of the highlights so far has been the lack of planning which saw them bring only one portaloo. It then of course broke, so they were then forced to start using a nominated person's trunk for their number twos :poo:
