Exactly what was predicted to happen is happening.
Really makes you stop and think, hey.

Mr McGowan has urged Western Australians to be alert but not alarmed. "I want to stress this is not a cause for panic," he said.
I would have thought that now that Omicron is freely transmitting in our fully vaccinated, partially locked down and internationally isolated community you clowns might have paused to reflect. But no. Just doubling down on the personals I see.
More restrictions brought in as WA's daily COVID-19 case tally tips over 1000
fu** me I hate it how he keeps spreading fear and doubt and panic with every statement he makes.
Well this was yesterday:Do you think the reason he made that statement today might be because there's an obvious and unreasonable amount of panic around about the daily case numbers?
"The mathematics are clear, we're not far away from recording over 1,000 new cases per day," he said.
"This is to be expected. It's not a cause for panic, but it's a reminder to take Omicron seriously."
Well this was yesterday:
WA warned it will soon hit 1,000 COVID cases per day after 732 new infections recorded
More than 700 new COVID-19 cases are recorded in WA again and the Premier warns the number will soon reach four figures, as a $67 million relief package is announced for businesses affected by restrictions.www.abc.net.au
I keep hearing the usual suspects accusing him of spreading panic, but every time he says something about local case numbers, it seems to be the opposite?
Didn't really answer my question
Ah, well if your point is he's doing the opposite of spreading panic then I agree with you, despite what you may or may not read in this delight of a thread.
I agree he is trying to.......now.
Even as recent as a month ago, that wasn't always the case though. I think that's fair to say
A month ago he was announcing the border was staying shut as NSW recorded the highest number of deaths all pandemic, with no peak in sight and a lot of uncertainty around what Omicron meant in terms of impact on the health system and vaccine effectiveness, so the situation was a bit different too. But he probably wasn't saying "DON'T PANIC CAMPAIGNERS, STOP LOCKING YOURSELF DOWN" like he is now as people complain they're being locked down by imaginary boots on their heads.
Messages change as the situation changes
This has been one of my grave concerns throughout. While ruling through fear-based messaging may have been politically profitable for McGowan in the short-term and fear-mongering media coverage commercially effective, we're now faced with a lot of people who are scared out of their wits to go on living their lives and unfortunately, the social effects will last long after these clowns are gone.Feels like the panicking and anxiety going to cause as many problems as the actual virus.
If you feel sick or are a "close contact" (whatever the definition is at the time), get yourself tested. Otherwise relax and carry on.

Yeah it was McGowan who said this.Well he was telling us that over east were effectively in a lockdown while we were watching them pack out the tennis* so I get it could get confusing
*by "we" I mean weirdos that actually watch tennis
Who is panicking though?
That's the bit that I don't get.
I would have thought that now that Omicron is freely transmitting in our fully vaccinated, partially locked down and internationally isolated community you clowns might have paused to reflect. But no. Just doubling down on the personals I see.
Yeah it was McGowan who said this.

Well the first question I asked you was why do you think McGowan is saying "don't panic" now, so maybe ask him?
Also just read some of the posts in this thread (or any social media)

It's quite humorous actually because after larrikins post a number of days ago the only people posting mostly is the same (pro vaxx/lockdown/destroy your family and business and separate us from the world) crew who keep circle jerking each other and baiting others lol.
You’ve posted in this thread 27 times in the last week.
pointless semantics
And you would know this from Sydney because…?
I rewatched his press conferences twice and he said no such thing. Also Hutchings was best on.
