yeah so it was basically snowing in Bendigo today or felt like it.

which is a roundabout way of saying that all you ponies posting photos of tropical locations such as jathanas and Kirby can kiss my horsey ass and I will administering retribution at a suitable time.

Decent central heating helps.

I was intending to go into the office today but I decided this morning to jam that and work from home. Much warmer, no way was I going out based on the weather forecast. Doing the same tomorrow but can’t avoid going in on Thursday unfortunately, I might sit at my desk in my puffy coat as a passive aggressive protest to the Facilities Engineering manager who likes to run the building HVAC on lower heating settings to save $.

Spare a thought for my 12yo nephew. His school camp started yesterday. 5 days of canoeing down the Murray overnighting in tents.

How's the political situation over there? My friends were going there shortly but have now cancelled due to the situation.
Calm. You wouldn’t even know.

They love tourists here, sweeter people you will never meet.

There are no demonstrations at the moment (which were mostly at government locations in Colombo) so unless you are a dickhead who would go join the protest then you’re going to be fine.

It’s a shame that so many tourists have been spooked by the sensationalist reporting. This is not Afghanistan or Sudan. There is no danger.

The biggest issue is getting fuel, but that’s improving all the time and tourists are given priority so all good.

Was just driving behind a M50D BMW and it had a dicky wheel on the back left side. The other tyres were wide ones, it was about a third of the size compared to the rest. Gee it looked funny.

With the wind, don't think the driver was handling the car very well either. Why would BMW worry about space to have these small spares?

I bought my little Hyundai because it had a normal wheel as a spare.

I drive the same car and it has run-flat tires. They are safe to drive for a few hundred km until a new tire is installed or the old one repaired.

The car you were driving behind must have damaged the rim/wheel and was using the emergency space-saver spare.

The car should not exceed 80km/h when it is driven as such. No wonder it looked wonky.

It was on the Hume Highway and it was doing more than 80k, wind and rain.

I changed lanes.

Wasn't that long ago that central heating in Footscray was a fire in a shopping trolley.
Still is in some parts. Try the Footscray mall on a Saturday night, not for the feint hearted or leafy suburbs types.
