So, after last night’s win I get a text from a neighbor saying they put their bin out with something in it they don’t want to Chuck out, can I bring their bin in?

I say I am away but arrange for other neighbor to do it. First neighbor v happy.

Get a text this morning from second neighbor

Hey. Fell asleep last night on the couch and forgot all about the bins

Inform first neighbor. Now she hates me.

Once again, kindness and attempts at kindness, rarely pay off.

And I will never find out what the MacGuffin was in the bin.

My neighbours are the last people I would give my mobile number to.

Is the first neighbour offended or outraged or both? Where is the first neighbour anyway - are you their bin slave?

We have a lady in our street who takes everyone’s bins out and gets them back in.
Fortunately I have a very large fence so she can’t access mine.

She sounds like a Dogs supporter. Are you confident she doesn't play around with your bin when it's in the street?

She adjusts the configuration of the bins, particularly if there is anything sticking out the top. She also advises me to cut my nature strip when she deems it too long. Her husband has a particular spot he parks his van, I’ve been told not to park there by her.

Maybe she could be the one to finally put JDG on the straight and narrow

One of the neighbors regularly commits car park terrorism. Daughter has a boyfriend who must do some stints interstate. The BF dumps his car not in front of GF’s house but in front of another neighbor’s place - in the middle. Leaves it there for a week effectively killing two car spots for neighbor. Nasty.

If I park in the bloke across the road’s spot, he will park his van behind me within an inch of my car. He’s also put my windscreen wipers up to show his displeasure.

Absolute nut job.

Here is your solution. Buy this, register the trailer(scratch that, already rego'd), then annex his car spot indefinitely.

The wife puts their bins out two days in advance, giving me the perfect opportunity to deposit my dog’s shit in their bin.

This makes me happy 😊

Unbagged I hope?

If you want to be the street psycho, call the council on them. Against the rules to put it out before 3pm the day before.

My next door neighbour tried to build a pool without planning permission. We called the council on them. They now have a huge hole in their backyard.

You mean a building permit? What kind of a psycho wanted to get a pool built by a pool builder who wouldn't want to apply for a permit? After all, what could go wrong?

Have you asked your neighbours whether they have considered the angle of repose and their pool hole?

Lived in Fitzroy for nearly 20 years and the bins were a nightmare. Share house next door thought nothing of filling our bins with their rubbish when outside waiting for collecting. Or they ‘borrowed’ one when empty - just because they needed it - and we’d have to ask for it back.

Then there were the locals with ‘problems’ who searched the full bins for whatever and sometimes tipped the rubbish out in the back lane in frustration.

Some of the tipped out rubbish included drug paraphernalia and sex stuff - and we knew which neighbours they belonged to!

And the time one of our famous neighbours (not naming names) had their bin tipped over and their papers were blowing around including accounting and taxation documents. I had to stop Mr Park from reading them.

They’ve decked over the top of it. They have also built a huge car port right on our fence line. We’ve been advised by council that they can’t put a roller door on it because it is then considered a shed.

A guy was out last week measuring up for a door. As soon as it’s installed we will report them again.

There are no shortage of cowboy builders who don’t care about building permits.
