I vividly recall the day when I came home from school to find an 80 page 'Bras N Things' catalogue in our mailbox.

I've never had such a terrible cold, was laid up for a week!

Classy

I remember when the Fossey’s catalogue of bloomers was treasured

Geeeze all you old fogies with your catalogues and paper and shit. As a thoroughly modern parent of the internet age I am planning on outsourcing my awkward parental conversations to you tube.

I'll just send him to this URL. And buy bananas.

It was late 1980s.

A catalogue of lingerie --or more to the point, lingerie models-- delivered upon one's doorstep was even better than the rather well-used dirty magazines one could steal from the outback dunny of local factories.

Yep. All class.

On the topic of Weeds

Mary-Louise Parker would be great as a step-Mum

Why am I thinking of stalactites?

Cos your Greek and you’ve eaten there ?

Londsdale st came before Eaton Mall and Stalactites was an institution.

Monaros with Crow Cams stickers and fluffy dice hanging from the rear view mirror, rock wash stretch jeans, tipped hair and mullets. Stalactites was the Mecca for post-clubbing souvas.

Don't forget the odd Valiant with a fluffy dashboard cruising past the Monaro

Have ordered the Spanish GF lingerie from Agent Provocateur

Twice per week they now email me an advertisement of artistically shot pics and videos from exotic locations

I want to unsubscribe but I avoid confrontation

Why am I thinking of stalactites?

Oh God memories. When I was in group homes in Preston and Coburg all the kids in school would have Greek pastries and Id bot one whenever possible. One of them led us on a bunk off to the CBD and introduced me to Stalactites. I went nuts with about 6 cakes.

Love the use of bot.
Yet another word that has taken on a different meaning now.

Had my first surf in nearly a month today, was awesome. Saw my gorgeous girl last week in QLD and it was cold up there as well. Fly back up next month for her 1st birthday 🥰
Hit the beaches for salmon over the next couple of days now the suns out*
Read Billie Hollidays ‘Lady Sings the Blues’ last week, good read. Another world in her upbringing and life. Pretty disturbing.
Still love watching these new young Pies growing. Almost giving me a heart attack every week though isn’t quite as much fun.

We are due to win the big one "out of the blue" or something. We've lost GFs in every way possible so this could be our chance to square the ledger of luck and make the rest of Melbourne grind their teeth for 6 months.

PS - Wordle driving me mad today - stuck after 5 rows
